  • I can jump over my house. I'm all for showing you, but when, where and under what circumstances is arbitrary. You just have to believe me. I am basically exactly the same as science, only the game is to show me evidence that says I cannot jump over my house.

  • tears in my eyes.

  • epic

  • The 6 people are jealous they couldn't sing like this.

  • What an interesting number 6 dislikes.... most interesting....

  • 'I don't believe in God...you don't have to believe in God to like this..right!right!so back off!' You can keep saying that all you like, but the art itself if a representation of he beauty of the faith itself.

  • I want this video on my EX232 unit.

  • thank you ! I wept myself out.

  • VERY NICE

  • AMAZING

  • Santo Deus que lindo .

  • Merry Christmas !You boys are so great !

  • Beautiful...

  • Yikes. I was straining my eyes to see a Schoeps, a DPA or a Neumann pair hanging there, but perhaps my eyes or the video quality need adjustment. Amused to see the organist's piston-pusher assistant in action.

  • Wonderful. Those children have talent! I'm impressed.

  • Forget religion this song is dogs bollocks.

  • How on earth did Cleobury get those boys to sing those ornaments?

  • it is one of the most beautiful and wonderful Christmas Carols !

  • Inimitable, unattainable, extraordinary

  • Awesome, Outstanding! This is the best.

  • I am the way the truth and the life .......Say no more !!!

  • "Like" doesn't do this justice. I absolutely LOVE this.

  • splendida

  • Great version! I always felt it sounds better with a male soloist.

  • Wonderful!

  • 4 more demons visited and disliked.

I'm a believer in Jesus Christ, all you atheists who feel compelled to inform us of that. Belief in God makes appreciation of this and Christian art so much better, mr. myopium.

  • @sue200012 Thoughts Re: dinosaurs?

  • Regardless of religious beliefs, everyone can appreciate the majesty of a beautifully sung hymn or carol. Most posters here seem to agree. Merry Christmas and God's blessings to all - even if (and especially if) you do not believe.

  • I'm an atheist and I will always have a soft spot for carols -they're what I grew up with. Belief in God is in no way necessary for an appreciation of this, or christian art for that matter.

  • @myopium nicely put!

  • @AngelsRamin Thank you, sir.

  • @myopium Ha, I thought I was alone here.

  • @edpjunior Not at all. And there's no hypocrisy being here and being atheist either.

  • @myopium Keep that soft spot. There is a reason for it... I know you don't believe, but I will pray for your well being...

  • @myopium The better to appreciate them with, I think. The best of the objective AND subjective. Those with belief are like the layman; using a clock for structuring his day. Atheists are the engineers, who can tell the time, take it apart to see how it works, show you how and why it is beautiful and put it back together again all the more informed :D

  • There are NO current or past 'pop star' that can come even close to this performance.

  • @TheTrebbieFan except maybe Patsy Cline. I also love Andy Williams version,

  • Amazing............"Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices! "

  • @AngelsRamin I love that part too!

  • Lovely "I hope you find yourself in a ditch...." Religious people are some of the most heartless people I've ever met...judgmental and close-minded.

  • Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices...

  • If you don't have anything uplifting to say,

Kindly refrain from your negative remarks and not bring a stain ruining the enjoyment of others?

  • MOLTO BELLO!!! Thank you for sharing and MERRY CHRISTMAS !

  • Spettacolo!!!!!!

  • AWSOME

  • wonderful... Merry Christmas ~ Christmas eve 2011

  • great piece and performance as well!!

  • この曲も好きなキャロル。清澄な歌声が聖夜にふさわしい。

  • Amazing. I dont follow the christian faith and most practicing "Christmas" are followin old Pagan rights but this is awesome.

  • My favourite Christmas carol....(teary eyes). Merry xmas folks. Spread the love and live in peace.

  • Sublime soothing medication for tired ears. I am quite sure that Adolphe Adam must have let out the biggest sigh of utter joy when the choir finished singing this. I certainly did!! ;-)

  • This song dedicates my best friend who is getting married on CHristmas day! for Emma!

  • Emocionante

  • Una melodia sempre piacevole, con un buon arrangiamento ed una buona esecuzione...

  • Absolutely beautiful, and the best version around. This is my favourite Christmas Carol and reminds me of my childhood- my sister used to sing this in her school choir, but in French.

And why would anybody give a red to this??? Must be satan.

  • Bellísimo. Celestial. Gracias por compartirlo

  • When I see this I think of ALL the abused children ALLOVER THE WORLD

  • As a musician in the United States I have been listening to your recordings of the famous Christmas Carols. They are extremely well done and really sound beautiful. Thank you for a job well done. Praise God for people like you. Ron

  • Just amazing, great sound, love the choir!

  • Love that high B at the end!

  • THANK YOU (*^_^*)!

  • And not to mention the young organist.... Good

  • Seems a bit fast... but nevertheless beautiful...

  • This can be enjoyed by anyone as beautiful music regardless of religious views

  • The only way to perform this is a choir. Way to go it was very good

  • beautiful!

  • Satan visited and dislikes this....

  • @adonelahi I'll bet he's threatened by it..

  • @adonelahi, and Satan's son too :P

  • @adonelahi well then it sucvks to be satan

  • @adonelahi

    loool !

  • @adonelahi also refered to Kim Jong Il!

  • @adonelahi - i hope you find yourself in a ditch needing help. and no one comes to your rescue. you should be ashamed, totally ashamed. may you find the love of the season brings you a heart that is three sizes too big. heaven knows you need it. merry christmas.

  • @smgregoryful Merry Christmas to you too!

  • Finally sacred Music... Nothing can touch this- Its from Heaven.

  • This was so beautiful, I was in tears. Wonderful performance! My Favorite song for Christmas! Thank you so Much! God Bless You.

  • Wonderful little children. Beautiful boys.

  • i <3 choir boys

  • This one carol I had either forgot or hadnt heard for a while until the church scene in Home Alone... marvellous ...by the choir of Kings...

  • This - and Carols from Kings as a whole - is precisely why I love Christmas Eve so much. It's a little oasis of calm and peace and the true meaning of Christmas for me. Beautiful.

  • It's actually very nice, but 435/0 seemed a touch skewed on the like/dislike front

  • No one does this "choir" thing better than the British!

  • Celine and Mariah can kiss it.....none of their crap can touch this

  • @greekteka Anyone who sings in the praise of God is beautiful! Love this as well

  • Made me feel all christmassey :)

  • Beautiful!

  • i would love to download this song but it won't let me...natuerally!!!!!!!

  • @blueglitter1979 Use FVD Suite. You can download any song with that from youtube. :-) Enjoy!

  • Gorgeous! Such adorable little boys too. In my humble opinion, the prettiest Christmas song ever.

  • Thank you veyr much for this brilliant version, one of my favourites.

  • it's incredible..this is the first video with no dislike!!!! the sound it is almost perfect and every time when i listen to this song i remember the movie Home Alone...Merry Christmas

  • BEAUTIFUL. This is such an amazing piece of music truly glorifying our God and his salvation Jesus. It is so beautiful and talented sung by this choir. I have never heard anyone sing as beautiful as these boys and young men. Peace be to all of you, Jesus has come so no man have to be lost in sin and dispair. greetings to all of you from Elisheva.

  • is that an Asian dude on the pipes?

  • @s3xiisir3n yes and he has 3 hands doesn,t he do it well!

  • Wonderful arrangement, beautifully performed. Thank you so much for posting this. I've been looking for a really excellent version of "O Holy Night" to tuck into my favorites. This one fits the bill perfectly!

  • this is lovely! thank you for posting

  • Lets all pray for the second coming and world peace.

  • this has helped me so much. Going into christmas with so much stress and worry. This sound just humbles you

  • I bet every organist wants a handyman to push the thumb-pistons, like at 4.49-4.59!

  • @Knappa22 It is very difficult to use the thumb pistons to reduce volume when also using both hand to play notes. Most large Church/Cathedral organs have an assistant to help with the stops & page turning. The assistant in this case was the Senior Organ Scholar Peter Stevens who is now Assistant Master of Music at Westminster Cathedral. The organ was played by the Junior Organ Scholar.

  • Absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much.

  • it's a good song!!!! make me fell really good..

  • Rottencat240: I saw a few months ago Renee Fleming performing this song; it was a far better version than Celine Dion. I searched YouTube but unfortunately it seems to be taken off...

  • @rpv2106,

The Renee Fleming performance from 2005, with Trevor Pinnock, is still on YT. I just watched!

  • This music is wonderfull....but, I must say...my favourite part is when the extra hand came in to help the organist push the organ stops....is my favourite part....LOL!

  • fair enough amanderj, I now have to admit that after consideration I am now performing the basic unison version in e flat with those of my girl choristers who can make a sweet sound on the high g. I decided c was to low, d would be ok with my full line up but e flat some how sounded right with my best voices. regards

  • @wotaneye I agree that needless transpositions of keys should not be done, but in this case the higher key IMO suits the boy treble's voices better, falling into a range with more power and better tone, and probably also the acoustics of the chapel.

  • @amanderj for me it depended on the instrument and the room.... once D flat proved to be exactly what the doctor ordered. and once it was B flat and an other time D

...whatever do you mean by "needless transpositions" ? Just try out different keys and get on with it.

  • dont get me wrong i agree with rottencat240 i hate the/ crossover versions like celtic woman rubbish its you dont need to over do arrangements, good music, beautiful choral sound and keep it simple

  • squeal, squeal - no need for it to be in eflat - original in c - d would be plenty high enough

  • @wotaneye 1 B-flat compared to the whole rest of the song in the middle of the staff. Dropping it a step can put the verse into a less focused aspect of the voice, and I think they handled the top quite well.

This ensemble is my new favorite after hearing "And he shall purify."

  • A 100% performance from the Choir and just who is the Magnificent Organist. You bet its going in my Car through tge 12 speakers.

  • A gentle, sensitive and moving arrangement of this carol, exquisitely performed by what must be one of the best choirs in the world.. No sickly sentimentality or cheap emotional trickery. Too often this is bellowed out by insensitive singers or choirs making a travesty of a gem of a carol. Something to be listened to again and again.

  • @amanderj

thank you. I'm SICK of having to put up with celine dion singing this song.

  • @rottencat240 - no kidding - I'm Canadian and I can't even stand her!

  • @rottencat240 Oh come on. . . .is totally diferent. Celine is a great singer, so please don't make comparations.

  • @5249north One could compare the style. She does sing in a rather modern style with her own personal (sentimental) inflections.

The sopranos are princely, clean & crisp. Thank you!

  • @rottencat240 ME TOO!!! I HATE that pop shit those people put in these songs. It's sick!

  • @ArmySoldiersGirl211 I call it Aretha Franklinizing the songs into a cocktail lounge or Lawrence Welk style, same trashy singing is done to the National Anthem by famous singers at major sporting events- horrid!

  • @rottencat240 Try and get a hold of the Vienna Boys Choir singing it. It really is the best version..not on here unfortunately.

  • @steve998 Wrong! It is. Search recent uploads...O Holy Night Vienna Boys Choir

  • JESIUS

  • This is so very well performed and recorded. Thank you!!

  • Do you have 2009 of O Come all Ye Faithful clip? They FINALLY performed the Willcocks arrangement and I MUST watch it!

  • The most beautiful arrangement of possibly the best carol every written ... IMHO!

    Thank you for posting.

  • this is just great - thanks for posting!

  • My favourite carol!a French one at the basis, I still do prefer the words in french, but King's choir is so good that even in Englisch it is a pleasure, thanks!

  • Magnificent !!! thanks for posting, I missed the broadcast on the Beeb.
