@fandanstan but that's the thing, we didn't start out this organised and functional. it took billions of years worth of trial and error to get to this point. :3 that's why evolution is so fascinating.
@fandanstan they certainly did! the fundamental necessity to survive did it for us, and every living thing we see today. i respect religion, don't get me wrong my friend! but that theory was developed over hundreds of years, and religious beliefs have remained virtually the same for thousands. i'll get back to you in a couple hundred years with a better explanation, but for the time being, perhaps we should just sit and watch intergalactic explosions.
@fandanstan See, creationists just have a really hard time comprehending that they have the cause and effect all backwards. It was never a matter of "ok, you passed this trial, you get to evolve." Its more like "Everyone in your neighborhood is stronger, faster, and/or smarter than you. You lose." Or, vice versa "You are superior at doing whatever it is your relatives do, so you have a better shot at living to breed while they just die off." Repeat these a billion times and you have evolution.
@lebensraummetal How did these beings come to be in the first place? Did their cells organize themselves? That's what I'm having a hard time believing.
@fandanstan molecules naturally form when the charge states of atoms cause them to bond in various patterns. The patterns can be crystaline, or perhaps polymer chains, and in some cases, certain types of organic molecules form huge complex patterns called proteins. The special thing about proteins is that they can have completely different chemical functions depending on the way the atoms have bonded, and the shape the molecule has folded into.
@fandanstan Some proteins have the ability to re-fold other proteins into different shapes if they happen to come in contact. This is once again due to the different electron shell charges of the atoms comprising them.
Prions are a special example of this. When they touch certain other proteins, they fold them into identical copies of themselves, repeating like a chain reaction. Mad cow disease is caused by prions. Prions are not alive, yet they reproduce, in a way.
@lebensraummetal Now take this example: Iron atoms bond quite readily with free oxygen. You see it happening in rust. Oxygen doesnt conciously seek out iron to stick to, it just happens to stay attached when it comes close. Gold doesnt bond to iron, so it's natural not to find much iron/gold molecules around.
Now say you have some organic molecules which contains iron atoms. Its only natural for nearby oxygen atoms to bond with them.
However, nearby are some different organic molecules
@fandanstan These other organic molecules have open carbon atoms in them which can strongly attract the oxygen, plucking it from the iron. But once the oxygen bonds with the carbon, they gain a different net charge which weakens the hold of the larger molecule and breaks free. Now you have a CO2 molecule floating off.
What i've just described is a very simplified version of our respiratory process. In reality, there are many more types of molecules in our cells, all reacting with one another.
@fandanstan But try to imagine various molecules interacting with each other in a "primordial soup."
Eventually, the seemingly random bonding and atom exchanging begins forming larger patterns.
Some molecules settle into elaborate lattice structures which let certain atoms through while blocking others.
Some molecules split into different molecules when they meet one of the atoms that floats through the lattices. Proteins float around changing their shape and function due to light or heat...
@fandanstan When some lattice structures become elaborate enough, we might know it as a cell membrane. Certain long protein chains interact with other long protein chains in such a way that identical copies are formed when they interact (like the prions i mentioned, but longer and more complex). DNA and RNA are two such proteins. The act of copying happens to attract specific combinations of other molecules that behave in certain ways when they come together. (like forming other parts of a cell.
@fandanstan There is no concious supernatural 'force' grabbing all these atoms together and squeezing them into certain shapes in order to create "life."
There are, however, four very real and detectable forces that have been guiding the universe since it's very birth and are responsible for the existence of everything as you know it today.
These are: Strong nuclear force, Weak nuclear force, Electromagnetism, and Gravity.
If you truly want to understand the universe, study them, not theology.
@lebensraummetal Right. I totally agree. However, none of them can "know" how to orient atoms in order to create functional organisms, etc.
I do study the universe. However, this study has led me to the conclusion that physical forces alone cannot account for the infinite complexities within it.
@stealthsniper002 thanks for the comment, i am atheist myself, unfortunately this proof you talk about is not apparent just to atheists, but also to people of other faiths, every religion has different creation stories, the proof you speak of is not scientific, therefore i will not believe it.
@Moon9222011 god says that you will not no the day or the hour so we will never know when this will happen and we dont know is it will be a supernova or something else
@ricochet188 its harder to believe in evaluation than just face the facts, there is a god. tell me how all the mater that came together was created how did THAT come into existence.evaluation has so many unanswered questions and no prof to back anything up. gods people look to the bible for that answers and god provides them.
@laurenboren94 I really really hope you're just trolling. Firstly, it's EVOLUTION. Secondly, everything you said just there can be attributed ten fold to your own religious beliefs. How do you KNOW that the bilbe wasn't simply made up by people? You don't. We do know many many things about the universe (not everything duh) but we know certain logic regarding math and physics that PROVE many theory we have. And you're also wrong when you say there's no proof, that is blind ignorance to the facts.
we r made from god all u non belivers when 2012 doesent happen u guys will feel like dicks we r made from god the big guy upstairs if u dont belive in god let me ask u this how did the cell that created us as u say be created u guys think u kno u have proof but u dont
@thethebamf Ok there's a giant flying alien in my house, what? , you don't believe me? you have no proof. p.s I think a flying old man is a bit ridiculous, don't you think? I hate people who are total believers in god and 2012 and I would say more but my alien wants fed now:).
@thethebamf Uhhhh... a bit poor English there my friend. Hey, here's a question for YOU. If all that biblical, mythical stuff happened back a long time ago, why doesn't that stuff happen now? Did God decide to make life more boring in the present? What?
@tynmorrow No. Don't you remember, it was quite fascinating after He created everything. He thought it was good but quite boring at the same time. So while He rested, He pondered on the thought of creating humans beings so they can be the life of the party. So if everything in the present seems boring, you can blame the humans. Instead of bringing life to the parties, they are the laughter of the parties.
Where did this Creator come from? or Who created the CREATOR? The answer is very simple and clear: The Creator did not have to be created. In fact He can not have a Creator, because if he had then he would be another creation, and thus no longer Creator. In other words BY DEFINITION He cannot have a creator.
@mohsenuk1 Oh, THAT helps! Maybe the universe doesn't need to be created at all, then! I mean, complexity automatically means design! So, somebody had to create the designer by your logic!
@reynaldo7496 your wrong considering this explosion is wat formed our sun and the planets so earth didnt exist then this explosion went off and the solar system was created. Pay attention in science class and to the video dont go correcting someone when you dont know wat your talking about
@ClubPenguinMovies123 -.- this happened 5 billion years ago the Star Explosion is so far away it takes the speed of light A VERY LONG TIME to reach earth so much you know, "Clubpenguinmovies" 9 years old i'm expecting?
@Orangetree547 like the ordinary dust formation in our streets! once some particles come together, they started to pull the others.something like that:)))
@AnnekeH95 Cause the particles gets closer and closer to each other, when matter gets puched in a smaller space witch is caused by gravity it gets hotter because they get set in movement and the core in the sun get like heavier and makes the gravity stronger:D
@eastofakron2 yeah i know, when i saw it first, i misheard or something, and was sure the video said that the milky way, when it actualy said the solar system.
when our suns core reached a temperature of 18 million degrees fahrenheit a nuclear reaction occured. Ever since it has been fusing hydrogen into helium.
@MachineFight No, that was Rod Sterling. This is the guy that says "Do not attempt to adjust your television. We control the verticle. We control the horizontal. You will experience the awe and mystery that reaches from the inner mind to the outer limits" Cool. Rats, that dates me too.
It's kind of cool how much we've progressed in knowledge. This is out of date in a few ways, such as just the 9 planets forming instead of hundreds (or thousands) of small bodies that accrete.
We are apes. like gorillas, and chimps, PLEASE NOTICE. they do NOT have tails either, and we did not evolve from them. however, we do have common ancestors.
evolution is the real logic. have you ever seen a new animal, just poof out of nowhere? that makes SO little sense and is kind of stupid. why would a creator god make it so animals cant change? elephants are changing, being born without tusk glands so they aren't hunted for ivory. so where is your counter?
Since then, dogs have changed. Obviously. Dogs exhibiting certain traits were bred with other dogs exhibiting the same traits. This is called selective breeding. (and if you think this does not occur in the wild, just ask your local zoologist.) These traits would be come more distinct. Tack on a few thousand years, and what do you have? Just look around. There are tiny dogs, huge dogs, medium dogs, long haired dogs... the list goes on and on. Still with me? Good.
Religeon and science are brainwashing and another thing humans created. Both r made from the mindlessness and defended by brutality and ignorance, like for instance: religion Christianity: not all things are divine intervention. Science: you can explain alot but some times you gotta have faith in stuff...
( I don't wanna argue with people... I just thought I would share insight on human foolishness.)
@TouchedProductions it is bullshit, they teach stuff like this in schools, they TEACH us and test us on it. they are teaching us LIES and theories based on assumptions.. If I ask the question How was the universe formed to a 'sheep
' as I like to call them, they will tell me 'the big bang' .. My thing is, don't answer or teach ANYTHING you don't know for a FACT. It is brainwash in imo.
@GenjiZerk An important element of science is theory. Obviously, we weren't around around for the creation of the cosmos. However, we can observe trends in matter and energy and make our observations, and theorize based on the information that we compile. A theory is not just an unsupported hunch. For an idea to become a theory, it has to undergo tireless scrutiny, testing, re testing, and experimentation.
@Poeticnuisance People CHOOSE to worship, Religion is a choice. And Evolution is a lie, conjured up by an atheist. Tell me why Monkeys can hang upside down from a tree for days, yet we humans that supposedly evovled from monkey's can't hang upside down for more than 5 hours....? Exactly, basic fucking knowledge will prove evolution wrong, hah
@GenjiZerk I'm going to take a stab and say that you've never ventured outside the religion you grew up in. You were taught that its a sin to not believe in your god, that you will go to hell if you do not.
And... basic knowledge can refute evolution? Lets do an observation exercise then, shall we?
Animals can change over time. We can observe this. Its called genetic differentiation. This means our traits are governed by our genes. We can agree on this, yes?
@GenjiZerk I will assume so, since this falls under the "basic fucking Knowledge" category. So lets take an animal that is very common, and has very specific ancestral heritage. Lets look at the dog, shall we? Dogs were first domesticated as the Gray Wolf (Canis lupus). This was before a time when dog variants such as dobermans, great danes, etc. existed. With me so far? I hope so... This isn't complicated.
@GenjiZerk Now this is where it starts to get hard for the less edumicated folks. Big numbers n' stuff. If you span that same process out over a few million (or billion, depending on the species) you will have paths that diverge from the species all together. What can stimulate the need for a specific trait to emerge? Environmental change. Our planetary system is constantly shifting, our crust is constantly moving, and solar activity can cause dramatic environmental shifts.
@GenjiZerk Australia is an incredible example of evolutionary divergence. With the exception of the panda, marsupials exist nowhere else on earth. We even see animals so primitive they still lay eggs. (don't believe this? check it out.) To nip the "kinds" argument in the bud, an animal will only continue to resemble its "kind" for so long. But, even animals within these kinds are so far removed from the ancestor they couldn't mate if the opportunity arose.
@Poeticnuisance That my friend, is called bullshit, we never evolved from monkeys .. where the fuk did my tail go? did it... shed off? ...lol. Logic 1. Science 0
@GenjiZerk Point out where it says that, and who said it. Site your sources please. The theory of evolution only says we have a common ancestor. There's a difference. You fuck.
@GenjiZerk Then what's YOUR explanation for the variants of human kind? If humans do not evolve, then why are there so many different races who have acclimated to various climates around the world? We know that all humans came from the same place. Why, then, aren't we all the same race? Because we evolve. We change as traits that benefit survival become more common in a population. This is elementary level science... we really shouldn't be having this conversation.
@Poeticnuisance God could have made Adam and Eve containing all ethnicities? Adam and Eve had a 2 babies, 1 babie's gene was dominate african, the other babie's gene was dominate asian.. Adam and eve had many children, and there children's children had many children.. In the Bible it is said that they spread apart on the face of the earth, So it is possible.. Also science says the world used to be one continent, So it is again possible for them to spread upon the face of the earth.
@GenjiZerk That is just... wow. First, that's not how genetics works. Interbreeding will NOT produce genetic diversity. If you want an example of that, look at the cheetah populations which are suffering adverse genetic defects due to inbreeding. You need a strong population to maintain healthy genetic diversity for even simple survival.
@GenjiZerk 2nd, Pangaea existed roughly around 250 million years ago... well before humans ever existed. We already know how the early tribes migrated, however, and there are several informative books complete with fossilized evidence on how this took place.
And last, but not least... saying "god did it" is not a scientific alternative, simply because there is no way to test God's existence.
@GenjiZerk Without concrete evidence to his/its existence, science must remain neutral on the subject. But on the other side, you can observe nature to see just how a naturalistic mechanism for bio diversity operates. All it takes is a genuine interest in learning and not just regurgitating the half-aware opinions of your parents and/or church authorities. Trust me on that... I used to be a christian.
@Poeticnuisance Then if say, a group of 30, 15 males and 15 females (all one race) decided to move to China so to start a new population there, strictly in their own hidden part of the forest, no contact with outsiders, only spreading their genes through copulation within the first 15 couples and their children that come afterwards, that their descendent's would eventually look like the Chinese people because of the environment or location even though they did not stray from their lineage?
@GateMessenger No. But traits would emerge that better favored survival, and within just a few generations (20 or so) they would start to show characteristics unique to themselves. This is the case even when the groups aren't totally isolated. Just look at the differentiation in places like Asia, Africa, and the middle east. Even here in the united states you can see traits emerging in the various climates present here. The differences are more subtle, granted, but they are there.
@GenjiZerk And no, I can't find any quotations that cite any science stating we evolved from monkeys. Again, a matter of Christians stating crude, inaccurate over simplifications in attempt to discredit scientific progress.
And actually answer my question this time, please? Thanks.
Darwin was actually a pretty devout christian. he just noticed something about these animals. and thought up the theory of evolution. that theory, just says animals change shape over time to help it survive changing conditions. and to reiterate, WE ARE NOT EVOLVED FROM MONKEYS. we are an ancestor of an ancient ape. no tails, never. drop the whole monkey argument. frankly, i think people hate darwin, because they think its insulting to have ancestry with a "monkey." and nothing more.
@GenjiZerk It always aggravates me when people with little or no scientific understanding stand up and blare their idiotic opinions about how they think it shouldn't be taught in schools, because its "brainwashing." Nobody ever said "believe this or burn in hell" about science. They said it in church constantly, however. Now... which is brainwashing?
Look up the term indoctrination. When you're brainwashing somebody, you don't bother with how or why.
@totalxbandxnerd you don't get, I mean it would be normal if it was always black ( space is black), it just makes sense if it was, and yes, the sky is blue because of ray scattering and the absorptions of sunlight by oxygen. On many other planets, the sky is completely black and the sun is just a giant light bulb.
Wow guys- could you please shut up?! It's really sad that you would rather sit here and argue like morons instead of enjoy the video and learn something. I myself thought the video was beautifully done.
@TheCrappyaccount they may have read books about space and the book saids the solo stem may have becan like that so they may have just guess the video
@iEatChromite you are? it says here it happened "5 billion years ago" .. then you are saying you had witnessed it ? oh come on .. how old are you ? 5 billion and one years old huh ?
@iEatChromite oh really ? well i guess you're out of your mind thinking that you had been living for about 5 billion years ... i have a suggestion .. why won't you try visiting a psychiatrist.. maybe there's something wrong in you ..
Listen up genius, when you come across a car that crashed, you know the crash took place, even though you were not there to witness it. See how really simple it is!
@mattc867 The left over hydrogen would not be enough to make the Sun, which is a star. A super nova would disperse any available hydrogen gas, less gas, less mass therefore LESS gravity per cubic meter. So how would it collaspe and make the Sun?
You see I do read and educate myself. That's where I get my Critical Thinking Skills.
Hawking says the Big Bang came from NOTHING, but that's another story.
Well maybe you could start "read[ing] and educate[ing]" yourself by first reading the post to which you responded. Leftover hydrogen is not the sole constituent material of new stars.
Also, I await a link to a paper detailing the physics of your explanation of cloud dispersal.
In reality, there is no such research, because it would be wrong. You must realize that gas behaves differently in a vacuum. It does not disperse like common sense would tell you. It condenses.
Do yourself a favor and refrain from talking about stuff that you don't know shit about. If you had actually "read and educated" yourself, you would be able to understand why what you just said is a steaming pile of B.S.
The nebula we're talking about are LIGHT YEARS across and have masses MUCH MUCH larger than a single star. There is no way they can "disperse", they are held together by gravity.
Please educate yourself on 'arXiv DOT org' next time and not on 'Dr. Dino'
@kdc43 most likely a nearby supernova caused shockwaves that compressed diffused gas and thus created many stars including our sun. Remember that stars that explode in supernovas are much more massive than the sun, thousands of times more massive than the sun, which is a yellow dwarf.
u guys arguing if there is a god need to stop n think all god is to me is a creator he dont help or assist us he just created us if u want proof u must look for intelligent design and its everywhere theres fuckin trees that create oxygen for u to breathe and fruit for u to eat for god sake ur body heals its self do u think all this came from nothing thats impossible shit we could be a simulation in gods computer oh by the way i make music about this tpye of shit check my page out lol

Its more like "Everyone in your neighborhood is stronger, faster, and/or smarter than you. You lose." Or, vice versa "You are superior at doing whatever it is your relatives do, so you have a better shot at living to breed while they just die off." Repeat these a billion times and you have evolution.
lebensraummetal 4 months ago
@lebensraummetal How did these beings come to be in the first place? Did their cells organize themselves? That's what I'm having a hard time believing.
fandanstan 4 months ago
@fandanstan molecules naturally form when the charge states of atoms cause them to bond in various patterns. The patterns can be crystaline, or perhaps polymer chains, and in some cases, certain types of organic molecules form huge complex patterns called proteins. The special thing about proteins is that they can have completely different chemical functions depending on the way the atoms have bonded, and the shape the molecule has folded into.
lebensraummetal 4 months ago
@fandanstan Some proteins have the ability to re-fold other proteins into different shapes if they happen to come in contact. This is once again due to the different electron shell charges of the atoms comprising them.
Prions are a special example of this. When they touch certain other proteins, they fold them into identical copies of themselves, repeating like a chain reaction. Mad cow disease is caused by prions. Prions are not alive, yet they reproduce, in a way.
lebensraummetal 4 months ago
@lebensraummetal Now take this example: Iron atoms bond quite readily with free oxygen. You see it happening in rust. Oxygen doesnt conciously seek out iron to stick to, it just happens to stay attached when it comes close. Gold doesnt bond to iron, so it's natural not to find much iron/gold molecules around.
Now say you have some organic molecules which contains iron atoms. Its only natural for nearby oxygen atoms to bond with them.
However, nearby are some different organic molecules
lebensraummetal 4 months ago
@fandanstan These other organic molecules have open carbon atoms in them which can strongly attract the oxygen, plucking it from the iron. But once the oxygen bonds with the carbon, they gain a different net charge which weakens the hold of the larger molecule and breaks free. Now you have a CO2 molecule floating off.
What i've just described is a very simplified version of our respiratory process. In reality, there are many more types of molecules in our cells, all reacting with one another.
lebensraummetal 4 months ago
@fandanstan But try to imagine various molecules interacting with each other in a "primordial soup."
Eventually, the seemingly random bonding and atom exchanging begins forming larger patterns.
Some molecules settle into elaborate lattice structures which let certain atoms through while blocking others.
Some molecules split into different molecules when they meet one of the atoms that floats through the lattices. Proteins float around changing their shape and function due to light or heat...
lebensraummetal 4 months ago
@fandanstan When some lattice structures become elaborate enough, we might know it as a cell membrane. Certain long protein chains interact with other long protein chains in such a way that identical copies are formed when they interact (like the prions i mentioned, but longer and more complex). DNA and RNA are two such proteins. The act of copying happens to attract specific combinations of other molecules that behave in certain ways when they come together. (like forming other parts of a cell.
lebensraummetal 4 months ago
@fandanstan There is no concious supernatural 'force' grabbing all these atoms together and squeezing them into certain shapes in order to create "life."
There are, however, four very real and detectable forces that have been guiding the universe since it's very birth and are responsible for the existence of everything as you know it today.
These are: Strong nuclear force, Weak nuclear force, Electromagnetism, and Gravity.
If you truly want to understand the universe, study them, not theology.
lebensraummetal 4 months ago
@lebensraummetal Right. I totally agree. However, none of them can "know" how to orient atoms in order to create functional organisms, etc.
I do study the universe. However, this study has led me to the conclusion that physical forces alone cannot account for the infinite complexities within it.

@thethebamf Uhhhh... a bit poor English there my friend. Hey, here's a question for YOU. If all that biblical, mythical stuff happened back a long time ago, why doesn't that stuff happen now? Did God decide to make life more boring in the present? What?
tynmorrow 7 months ago

NO WE DID NOT EVOLVE FROM MONKEYS!
We are apes. like gorillas, and chimps, PLEASE NOTICE. they do NOT have tails either, and we did not evolve from them. however, we do have common ancestors.
evolution is the real logic. have you ever seen a new animal, just poof out of nowhere? that makes SO little sense and is kind of stupid. why would a creator god make it so animals cant change? elephants are changing, being born without tusk glands so they aren't hunted for ivory. so where is your counter?
kb470 1 year ago
Since then, dogs have changed. Obviously. Dogs exhibiting certain traits were bred with other dogs exhibiting the same traits. This is called selective breeding. (and if you think this does not occur in the wild, just ask your local zoologist.) These traits would be come more distinct. Tack on a few thousand years, and what do you have? Just look around. There are tiny dogs, huge dogs, medium dogs, long haired dogs... the list goes on and on. Still with me? Good.

Poeticnuisance 1 year ago
@Poeticnuisance People CHOOSE to worship, Religion is a choice. And Evolution is a lie, conjured up by an atheist. Tell me why Monkeys can hang upside down from a tree for days, yet we humans that supposedly evovled from monkey's can't hang upside down for more than 5 hours....? Exactly, basic fucking knowledge will prove evolution wrong, hah
GenjiZerk 1 year ago
@GenjiZerk I'm going to take a stab and say that you've never ventured outside the religion you grew up in. You were taught that its a sin to not believe in your god, that you will go to hell if you do not.
And... basic knowledge can refute evolution? Lets do an observation exercise then, shall we?
Animals can change over time. We can observe this. Its called genetic differentiation. This means our traits are governed by our genes. We can agree on this, yes?
Poeticnuisance 1 year ago
@Poeticnuisance So basically your telling me that we evolved from monkeys, but yet the majority of our traits as monkeys have vanished...?
GenjiZerk 1 year ago
@GenjiZerk So basically, you're telling me you've never actually bothered to correctly understand the theory.
Poeticnuisance 1 year ago
@GenjiZerk I will assume so, since this falls under the "basic fucking Knowledge" category. So lets take an animal that is very common, and has very specific ancestral heritage. Lets look at the dog, shall we? Dogs were first domesticated as the Gray Wolf (Canis lupus). This was before a time when dog variants such as dobermans, great danes, etc. existed. With me so far? I hope so... This isn't complicated.
Poeticnuisance 1 year ago
@GenjiZerk Now this is where it starts to get hard for the less edumicated folks. Big numbers n' stuff. If you span that same process out over a few million (or billion, depending on the species) you will have paths that diverge from the species all together. What can stimulate the need for a specific trait to emerge? Environmental change. Our planetary system is constantly shifting, our crust is constantly moving, and solar activity can cause dramatic environmental shifts.
Poeticnuisance 1 year ago
@GenjiZerk Australia is an incredible example of evolutionary divergence. With the exception of the panda, marsupials exist nowhere else on earth. We even see animals so primitive they still lay eggs. (don't believe this? check it out.) To nip the "kinds" argument in the bud, an animal will only continue to resemble its "kind" for so long. But, even animals within these kinds are so far removed from the ancestor they couldn't mate if the opportunity arose.
Poeticnuisance 1 year ago

GenjiZerk 1 year ago
@GenjiZerk Then what's YOUR explanation for the variants of human kind? If humans do not evolve, then why are there so many different races who have acclimated to various climates around the world? We know that all humans came from the same place. Why, then, aren't we all the same race? Because we evolve. We change as traits that benefit survival become more common in a population. This is elementary level science... we really shouldn't be having this conversation.
Poeticnuisance 1 year ago
@Poeticnuisance God could have made Adam and Eve containing all ethnicities? Adam and Eve had a 2 babies, 1 babie's gene was dominate african, the other babie's gene was dominate asian.. Adam and eve had many children, and there children's children had many children.. In the Bible it is said that they spread apart on the face of the earth, So it is possible.. Also science says the world used to be one continent, So it is again possible for them to spread upon the face of the earth.
GenjiZerk 1 year ago
@GenjiZerk That is just... wow. First, that's not how genetics works. Interbreeding will NOT produce genetic diversity. If you want an example of that, look at the cheetah populations which are suffering adverse genetic defects due to inbreeding. You need a strong population to maintain healthy genetic diversity for even simple survival.
Poeticnuisance 1 year ago
@GenjiZerk 2nd, Pangaea existed roughly around 250 million years ago... well before humans ever existed. We already know how the early tribes migrated, however, and there are several informative books complete with fossilized evidence on how this took place.
And last, but not least... saying "god did it" is not a scientific alternative, simply because there is no way to test God's existence.
Poeticnuisance 1 year ago
@GenjiZerk Without concrete evidence to his/its existence, science must remain neutral on the subject. But on the other side, you can observe nature to see just how a naturalistic mechanism for bio diversity operates. All it takes is a genuine interest in learning and not just regurgitating the half-aware opinions of your parents and/or church authorities. Trust me on that... I used to be a christian.
Poeticnuisance 1 year ago

@Poeticnuisance Then if say, a group of 30, 15 males and 15 females (all one race) decided to move to China so to start a new population there, strictly in their own hidden part of the forest, no contact with outsiders, only spreading their genes through copulation within the first 15 couples and their children that come afterwards, that their descendent's would eventually look like the Chinese people because of the environment or location even though they did not stray from their lineage?
GateMessenger 1 year ago
@GateMessenger No. But traits would emerge that better favored survival, and within just a few generations (20 or so) they would start to show characteristics unique to themselves. This is the case even when the groups aren't totally isolated. Just look at the differentiation in places like Asia, Africa, and the middle east. Even here in the united states you can see traits emerging in the various climates present here. The differences are more subtle, granted, but they are there.
Poeticnuisance 1 year ago
@GateMessenger If you took away modern transportation tomorrow, these characteristics would be come more defined over time.

It condenses.
mattc867 1 year ago
@kdc43
Dino'
mattc867 1 year ago
@kdc43 most likely a nearby supernova caused shockwaves that compressed diffused gas and thus created many stars including our sun. Remember that stars that explode in supernovas are much more massive than the sun, thousands of times more massive than the sun, which is a yellow dwarf.
