another warning about this camera. make sure that the camera has completely! powered off before doing any connecting including batteries. in a rush i took a battery off and replaced it a split second too soon - shot the fuse. My experience with this camera has nixed any JVC products in my future btw.
My mac will not sense my firewire from the JVC... Does it really cost $3,500 to fix it?????? That's how much I paid for the camera! I am not satisfied with JVC because they don't have a warning manual! They should warn you. before you use it.
Mr. Love.. I've looked every-where for the "firewire filter" Did a search on google, I even called the local radio shack yet I still can't find it... Does it go by any other name?.. Can you perhaps send me a link where I can buy it online?... I really need it.. I don't want the fuses in my HD 110 burning out again.. I'm so thankful for you video... I had no idea this could happen... you save me another heart-break...
have a JVC GY-HD 110. I'm trying to shoot in slow motion with itt, but I don't know where to find the setting to change the fps. If you could please guide me through it, that would be most appreciate.
Do you still use this camera?

in the manual on page 54, but never in such clear terms.
To avoid a possible blown circuit and required repair JVC suggests that you:
Turn the power of both devices OFF before connecting the IEEE1394 Firewire cable.
Do not connect the IEEE1394 Firewire cable under "the condition of static electricity."
Turn the power of both devices OFF before changing the IEEE1394 switch from/to HDV/DV.

It was achieved on a mac with Final Cut Pro but the concept will be the same in Premiere Pro CS3 on PC. Just interpret the footage as 23.98.
