@mbbramarv d5100, it has a better sensor in it :) You'll see the difference when it's getting darker and the extra options like selective color and miniature are quite cool and worth the price difference.

@tushar310 you can change exposure compensation.

you can also lock exposure compensation because the camera will auto change that as you move to and fro from a well lit environment to a dark one.

Does the video mode have the same effects as the camera mode? I ask this because I'm a dark skinned girl and I could only really take videos of myself in day light. Even with a light at night, I'd still be pretty invisible :/

I have the one question about the auto mode. is it always on? or can you turn it off as well? because with moving objects the auto mode creates this "pumping-effect", does'nt it? so is it possible to film without the auto focus mode? thanks for your help, i am about to buy one, but filming is very interesting for me, so i have to know this first. thank you!

It DOES do 30p at full HD though! Which would be VERY smooth. But i still want slow-mo. :'[
