I don't really get this song, first it says she never fell in love, then it says she got married but nothing changed in her life, something must of changed because she got married, unless she doesnt love the guy, but why get married if your not in love?
What is so wrong with been married with a child? Some of us would love that! 33 is not "growing old" atall! Certainly no reason to be thinking about "razor blades and pills." I like this song but it's real depressing.

Nothing changed in her life-- "She never felt the same, like all the other boys and girls around." It was pretty clear what he was saying was she got into a relationship without feelings, which likely resulted from her getting pregnant and made her feel trapped with no way out besides anti-depressants, and 'cutting' or suicide.

Wolfsheim haben vor allem in ihren frühen Jahren textlich grossartige Stücke gehabt. Klar, sie sind traurig in vielen Fällen, aber vor allem sind sie brilliant beobachtet und unheimlich ehrlich !
i wish i could find all their albums in my country...sad i got into them so late...can their albums still be found in Germany or anywhere else? or maybe there is some old fan who wants to sell his memorabilia..?! hmm..i wonder how much that would cost...oh well..i'm just babbling..can't afford such investments right now...so,thanx Youtube,thanx stridingMan and Thank You Wolfsheim!
