Yes, I would, if you like intelligent, philosophical anime. Kino and Hermes visit a new country, encountering exaggerated parts of humanity: a country of people who can read each other's minds, for example. With a tagline like "The world is not beautiful; therefore it is", you'll come to some tragic conclusions, and maybe a few hopeful ones.

Things to expect: it's slice-of-life, so apart from Kino and Hermes, there isn't any continuity. It's also inconclusive, so think like a traveler.

the episode with the wise man, kirikas voice is the girl who helps the wise man in the 2nd half, and the episode in the land of books, mirielle is the librarian.

Yeah, the english dub was done by ADV Films when the series was licensed

It's cool^^ (unlike other dubs)

The voices fit and no corny puns and stuff.

Hermes' voice leaves something to be desired at first but after a while you get used to it.

Second Movie

In September 2006, there was an announcement that a new Kino film was set to premiere at Dengekibunko's Movie Festival in April 2007. The film adapts a story from volume 5 of the Kino no Tabi light novel series. [2] The film is entitled Kino no Tabi: Country of Illness -For You- (キノの旅：病気の国 -For You-). It debuted in Japanese theaters April 21st 2007.

Haha! No, Kino is a girl. She just refers to herself in the same way a boy would. Many people think she did this becaues of the guilt when the real Kino was killed as he tried to save her. And in rememberance of him, she goes by the same name now. You have to watch the episode about her past in the series to understand any further, if you haven't already seen it...

"boku wa" is generally used by guys and since Kino changed her name because of the Kino who saved her life. "watashi wa" is generally used by girls... After the incident with the crazy lady Kino realized just what she wanted to do with her life.

When I introduced this series (in the US it's 13 episodes, not 12), members of my college's anime club where all slackjawed-- "Oh my gawd that was cool!". One guy who was kind of worried about my taste in anime (I like everything from Figure 17 to GANTZ) said he would never question my taste in anime again.
