Love the tone.. Are the pickups wired out of phase? It has that kinda honky tone-quality, like a Gibson 345 w. the Varitone-switch. I know that the P90 pickups are quite midrangy and honky by 'emself. I've got a Goldtop Les Paul w. P90s. Great guitar as well.
Nice phrasing and great tone! I'm curious about the Dream 90 bridge pickup, does it sound closer to a Tele bridge pickup or a Strat bridge pickup? In other words, hot or wimpy single coil? Thank you very much.
but the real star of this video is (to my surprise) the silvertone, real vintage sounding (pickups look like kay "speed bumps") compared to the good but very modern sounding gfs pickups. nice !
I am this close to getting a pair of Dream 90's for my guit-fiddle. I'm kinda over the regular old humbucker thing for right now. The DRRI amp sounds really nice, too!
Send me your E-Mail...I have some interesting Photo Shots of a Beautiful PTP Hand Wired Deluxe Reverb Conversion to show you and talk about. By the way, the Weber sounds good. I got a Texas Heat for my Deluxe but I've decided the Jenson is just fine broken in...I'll get another Texas Heat and install the pair as upgrades in the Twin Reverb...Doc
dude! beautiful tone! Sweet , and from a china made guitar, nonetheless and a reissue amp. Love them dream 90 pickups... i bought a pair for my tele thinline reissue and it is awesome! very cool! great playing too by the way,..
Very kewl, keep on keepin' on! Jump blues NEVER gets old and forget the modern foo-foo crap. Great tone and chops. Gotta love the Deluxe Reverb, I have one, a 64.
I play jump blues type stuff with a DRRI (stock Jensen speaker, NOS tubes, bright cap clipped) and an old 335 and Epi Emperor Regent and it sounds a lot like what I'm hearing here. I like to turn up the amp and roll back the tone control on the guitar for that vintage breakup tone ala Bill Jennings.
Sounds COOL even though Jump Blues is old...hey why not fuse Jump Blues with some modern techniques and technologies,I really couldn't think of something but without the shouting and maybe some distortions....notify me if you know some bands that already fused Jump Blues or Jazz or something...Great video upload and Great music keep up the good work.
why don't you turn around ? You can play your butt off but that doesn't mean we want to look at it LOL

Love the tone you're getting. Mind sharing what scale/s you're playing. I specifically love the lick from 0:31-0:35 seconds.

@tomthefunky The solution could be: just close your eyes and listen to the Music.

The AF105NT has become my favorite player.
You have to take the time to set them up correctly, but they
are FINE guitars that fit many applications.

Killer stuff, sounds real good. The T-bone stuff was cool (wonder how he did that with the guitar laying flat?) :D

I love the sound of the AF105's neck pickup. I have an AS73 that i'm trying to get a better sound out of for jazz.
1. is that the dream 90 i am hearing?
2. do you think a dream 90 in the neck would help me get that sound or is that unattainable on a semi-hollow guitar?
jonnda 3 years ago
Yes, they are both dream 90, neck and bridge.
I don't know the AS73 but i think that dream 90 could play good if you like the sound of these single coil.

you're a great player! you always present these clips as demos of the gear, but it's your playing that makes it all sound so great.
btw, is that a Weber alnico 12A150 in the Deluxe?

No, it's a Ceramic 12F150

2nd guitar has better tone in my opinion

Great!
I love GFS Pickups as well. I use the Vintage '59.
Would you recommend the Dream 90?
Either way, great tone and playing!
