  • movingsustenance said drink garlic with milk but when you have a cold or infection, it's not wise to consume any dairy products because it will thicken mucus and that will make you sick longer.

I prefer to feel the burning of the garlic because that mean it's bringing blood to my sore throat and that will encourage it to heal. Garlic is like doing warm compresses from the inside. =D Also, ginger will be good doing that too.

  • u helped me take some garlic today thank you much

  • Whats ya facebook id

  • you're to cute ! more interested in your music ! so i'll look for that !

  • Thank you

  • Peanut butter? Just mince it up and wash it down with a glass of water. Well, to each their own I guess.

  • For those of you that complain about breath take it in the night. What i do is take 2 to 3 cloves and mix it with fruit and or vegetables in my vita mix blender. Drink it all and feel great. :)

  • 6 MINUTES!!!..sory i got a life to live

  • I like the taste of garlic. If you eat enough garlic you will probably end up liking it so much that you'll just eat it without adding anything to cover the taste. lol maybe not... You are right though about having something in your stomach, I too find my stomach gets a little unsettled/upset if I eat too much without adding anything else to the mix. I like it in pesto with pasta. Yum! Thanks for this vid.

  • garlic?best stuff in the world,breath??not nessesary?but works...

  • raw garlic makes the worse breaths

  • As I type I am eating 2 raw cloves on one piece of Ezekiel bread (toasted) with a bit of Smart balance olive oil spread. Goes down easy.

  • An EASY way to eat raw garlic is to crush up a clove or 2...allow it to sit at room temp for 5 minutes to enhance it's powers...push it onto a teaspoon and deposit on the back of your tongue and wash it down right away with warm water...NO CHEWING...just one quick and big gulp...down the hatch...it works! Takes some practice but it's the best way to help you stay healthy.

  • @valnaples Less allicin that way. Don't talk about extreme cases like "best way to help you stay healthy" it nevers looks nice :P

  • Your lucky...I'm allergic to peanuts. I just chomp two garlic seeds in my mouth and wash it down with a glass of water.

  • love it, thanks, but crushed i hears is better cause the two parts of the garlic combined together is what make a certian thingy that makes it work well

  • How about blend lem juice, olive oil, grapefruit seed extract and bulbs of garlic with oragano ect for saladbar dressing.

I hear it is foamy. Going to try it soon.

  • add some parsley flakes and Billberry Preserves

  • i just pop the clove in my mouth...quickly pulverize it with my teeth, then chase it with some juice. works pretty well

  • stings kinda like a chilly pepper.

  • It burns a lot less if you just chop up the garlic, put it in a spoonful of olive oil and down the hatch! The olive oil keeps it from burning and is also good for you.

  • I grate it and put it on buttered bread with a little sea salt its tasty like strong garlic bread yumm

  • why dont you just leave the pieces larger and swallow them like a pill

  • I here its good for Body Odor if taken for 2 weeks.

    It try it tomorrow

  • Garlic is good to get rid of pinworms.

  • Since its hard for me to eat the pieces, I eat the chopped up garlic with banana. Its very quick and easy to swallow, unlike what I used to do: chop it up and chew/swallow them with water.

  • Whenever I feel I'm under the weather, I chop one small clove of garlic as finely as I can and proceed to chew on a little at a time. I remember reading that when garlic gets crushed, it produces the most allicin (its natural antibiotic). So I crush it with my teeth, and I try to take my time and crush it completely before swallowing. But man, sometimes it hurts so much I cry! Totally worth it, though. (I know I just sounded really freaky, but there ya go.)

  • Eat it like a man : a whole clove, nothing else, and feel the burn.

I had one clove just now (but drank some milk so I'll have another one without drinking).

    Good vid, thanks.

  • its a good thing i dont mind the garlic being in my mouth for a while and i dont give a flyin fuck if other people care.. i dont normally breath or get very close to people but if they smell garlic and get appauled they can go fuck themselves

  • Some easier ways to take in raw garlic is something like a dish made with cucumbers - garlic, green onions, cucumbers, sesamee seeds w/small amt of sesamee oil and salt/pepper optional. Another idea is bean sprouts briefly cooked, drain water, add the same ingredients as above except cucumber. These are what koreans eat all the time (maybe soy sauce instead of salt).

    =D

  • Raw garlic kills ALL viruses in a few minutes. It destroys the virus and works 1000 times betetr than penecillin. Basically HIV only survives garlic by hising, garlic will kill 99% of HIV but sadly 1% can hide from it. Swine flu will be killed in less than 20 mins by garlic.

  • I just chopped it like this video, chewed one piece at a time and washed it down with tomato juice. Not that bad, although I do have an aftertaste. I chewed it because I read that it helps release the chemicals into the throat.

  • Actually, I think a lot of you have better ways of taking garlic than I demonstrated! :D

  • I can't imagine using the peanut butter, I use honey and mince it into tiny tiny pieces and I don't even chew it or anything, I just take it from the spoon and then take a big swallow of water and swallow it like a pill. You hardly taste the garlic because it's not rolling around on your taste buds ;) yuck!

  • I chop it up, mix with a little olive oil, then down it with a glass of water. I also love pizza bread (i.e. basic base + tomato, with optional cheese) with the garlic raw on it. And, inspired by this video I have just tried toast and Marmite (not sure if you have that in the US, it's yeast extract) with raw garlic and it was great!!

  • If you do get a cold , flu , feverish symptoms of fidgeting , extreme colds , sinuses and sore throat - garlic , honey and lemon juice are the 3 best natural herbs for you.

    Ingredients :

    2 garlic ( finely grated / finely chopped )

    2 - 4 tablespoons of honey

    1/2 a Lemon

Add a litlle warm water - and - now you

have a natural refreshing cough syrup and anti cold / flu syrup.

Basically - you can even finely grate the 2 cloves of garlic , add 2 tablespoonfuls of honey and warm water.

  • Not quite sure about calling them 'herbs' but I get the idea! Ginger as well, and onions..

  • Raw garlic, Lemons and sea salts are what I use whenever ill. It works better than ANY medicine.

  • A very enjoyable video that you have made here. Thanks for taking the time to show us (your loyal followers) the way to get the garlic inside of us. I just wonder how you came about putting garlic and peanut butter together. Did this idea originate from within or from without. GRADE A

  • OMG!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! I was just able to choke down 2 cloves of garlic, wish i chopped the cloves a tad smaller though.

  • Garlic is awesome. I can't eat raw garlic without getting a very bad stomach ache. It has to be at least partially-cooked. Really though, I don't think that there is such a thing as too much garlic.

  • I think your presentation is cool. Very generous to share that with. Even when you grimace, you're still cute. He he. I'll get myself a whole bundle of garlic later. Thanks

  • I love raw garlic. I chew garlic cloves alone. Chew fresh basil after wards and it's a temporary fix. I don't really mind garlic breath though. =:)

  • Great vid though girl! If I only could get my Wife to eat garlic it would be good lol. She hates that eat it and complains it STINKS the house up you aint buying that shit no more is her words today LOL, I said WHAT EVER I WANT TO LIVE LONGER LOL And live High Blood pressure free. Garlic is better than blood pressure pills its NATURAL and doesn't make ya feel weird like man made pills do I'd know! Take care girl!

  • Thanks for the video - You made me smile!

  • I haven't had a cold in 2 years until now and I say it's because of my regular garlic intake. I have not been doing the usual and now I have a cold. I think I know what to do for it though. I liked your video.

  • ZINK

  • zinc?

  • Oh dear. This is somewhat pointless, because the garlic isn't chopped fine enough or crushed. You might as well swallow 1/4 cloves straight down with milk and save yourself the unpleasant taste. Or if you want to really kick the cold's butt, crush a few cloves, let them sit for a few minutes to produce some allicin, and then mix with whatever (I prefer chick peas or mashed potatoes, myself) ;)

  • Now what exactly happens to the garlic when you crush it? I need to read up more on garlic methinks. Thanks for the comment!

  • @Authorized77 The article on Allicin @ wikipedia answers: "The compound is not present in garlic unless tissue damage occurs"

  • MOVINGSUSTENANCE I hear ya. Thats what I do is cut them into little pieces everyday and eat them raw. I don't drink Milk or anything its more healthy to let it wear off. I always eat raw and no food in my stomach which SUCKS but I feel my body eating it dwon faster and its better for me then getting mixed with food. Maybe I'm wrong though and making my self suffer a few minutes a day lol

  • Hi! I just got sick yesterday. Its time for mid term exams at my school so my mom did the same thing you did- minus the peanut butter. She cut up the garlic and made it so i didnt have to chew it, I swallowed it like a pill.. This is awesome.. I thought I was the only one who thought this worked!!

  • Can I give you some advice? The best way to eat garlic is to make it into pesto. Blend raw garlic, nuts (any), fresh basil, lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil. Voila! yummy pesto. Serve it with brown rice or wholemeal pasta spirals. YUM!!

  • That sounds really good! I didn't know that there were nuts in pesto because I've never made it before. You've made me hungry for spaghetti and pesto, lol. Thanks a lot for the idea.

  • OH! And I think I will try the peanut or almond butter. Sounds fun. :)

  • Well that is not right? I clicked here to respond, and spam popped up. Just wanted to say, maake pesto every year, sometimes add walnuts, sometimes pine nuts. Love it. And pressed is best. Love Garlic!

  • Restaurants drip brew tea (typically for iced tea). I would think that makes it good enough.

  • what does garlic do for a cold? even if you don't know in technical terms-- what does it do for symptoms etc?

  • I have not been able to pinpoint exactly what happens during a cold but my sore throat is feeling better today. Each cold has such different symptoms, it's not possible (for me) to say for sure it shortened the sore throat, or that it cleared up my congestion, etc. I have taken it for an ear infection and it definitely made a difference, but I stopped taking it and the ear infection came back and I had to go on antibiotics :(

  • I felt a weird feeling in my ears the other day and now the feeling is gone. Maybe it's the garlic :)

I still feel that garlic boosts my immune system, so I assume it makes the cold shorter all around. I should have started taking it when I knew I was around cold infected people, but I didn't know about it and we all got it at once at my house.

  • hmmm... very interesting

personally i'll stick to good old antibiotics but hey, whatever works

hope you're feeling better soon-- for eating garlic you're a better person than i heehee

  • Do antibiotics work on viruses? I was under the impression that they only work on bacteria.

  • Chop me up some too Bonnie. I Love garlic. My breath does not, but I love it. Hope you get to feeling better.

  • Hehe, ok. I like garlic raw in moderate amounts, even, but today I can still taste it in my mouth (I had it chopped up on toast, with butter and parmesean cheese, YUMMY!). Thank you for stopping by. Yesterday I felt worse, but today I feel a little better.

  • Get well soon. : )

  • Thank you!
