You cannot run 1080 on a native 1280x800 resolution tablet, for christ sake, you need to use an External HDMI supported device to run the 1080P off the nvidia chip witch is capable.
in almost all videos on YouTube, the Transformer doesn't seem to be able to play not even 720p, though the 1 Ghz dual-core an 1 Gb of ram can assure smooth playback even with a 1080p video... what version of Android are you using? what player? is it a bit-rate/frame rate/codec issue? please answer and tell the world about this :D. no, really... i am curious.
@Oltenitza Mkv aren't supported on the tegra tablets, but you can still play some, most low profiles 720p work, for 1080p i use Vplayer or Plex some times lags but other times works great,
Also i am running Prime 1.6 Clocked at 1.4Ghz for more info check out the Prime 1.6 thread on XDA....
@Oltenitza Yea, they could not find a player to properly decode those formats. It can of course play anything that the iPad2 could play. In those formats its no problem to find software optimized for those codecs.
But with Dice Player, most 720p MKVs plays smoothly. 1080p MKVs probably wont though, if thats a problem, then convert those files into something more playbable and the problem is gone. You still have quite a few more options than you have with competing products so far.
My asus transmit 720p via hdmi, is there a way to get it to 1080p
