  • It's an Amateur Muay Thai World Championship.

Amateur rules require the wearing of protective equipment - just like Amateur western boxing (as seen in the Olympics) ;-)

  • What the Fuck? Can someone tell me why their wearing protective gear?

  • Does Steve Scott still train at this gym? I haven't seen him for almost 20 years.

  • I'm not familiar with Steve Scott, although I'm based in the Bury St Edmunds Phraya Pichia camp. Which camp did you train at lechies5050?

  • I was in the Army when I fought, I usually trained at the Chiang Mai gym in Newcastle and with Master Toddy in Manchester. Steve was one of the big hitters from the Preston Phraya Pichia in the late 80's, early 90's. Nice bloke, the last time I saw him, he fought and lost against one of the Harrison brothers, I can't remember which one it was, it was, it was a lot closer than they gave him credit for though.

  • what is the name of the song? i like it

  • It's 'All my life' by the Foo Fighters.

Absolute classic. Good to train to as well!

  • thnx man!,, i like The pretender from foo fighters ass well

  • Hi Azzbot.

It was an Amateur Muay Thai Championship, so full Thai rules (elbows and knees allowed to the head), but protective equipment is compulsory.

    Corné (Holland)

  • Hey, you sure it wasnt't 1:46? 'cause in 1:46 it is possible you hit his face, in 1:48 I don't think you got his nose/mouth... hmmm....

  • The knee that did the damage can be seen at 1 min 48 secs into the video clip, during the second round of fighting. I felt something crack as the knee landed, and at the time thought his nose was broken.

He was a tough fighter, carrying on until the referee stopped the fight in the third round.

Afterwards the Japanese fighter showed me his front teeth were pushed back in his mouth.

  • poor nihon-jin :-(

  • yeah, right... one could see that very clearly in the video. what else? his liver was hanging out? c'mon mate...
