just curious...how come kenpo stylists look really nice and flashy when demonstrating their drills, but when they fight in the ufc all of that flashy stuff doesn' t work?
If Chuck is a Kempo stylist I don't know, but if he is then you're proving my point because all those flashy hand techniques you and other Kenpo stylists demonstrate on your videos seem to disappear when self preservation is foremost. Everytime I have seen Liddell fight he appeared to abandon all those flashy hand movements and resort to what really works.
I don't compare myself with "other Kenpo stylist" I use Kenpo as one of my tools, as well as other tools I have trained and master. In the streets the best man dosen't "win" in the streets the one that "survives" is the wisest one and I find it wise to have as most tools as I can even if they are "flashy" to you, take care and thanks for the comments,
If he is a Kenpo styilist, I didn't know. What I'm saying is that if he is, then how come all those flashy hand strikes you and every other Kenpo stylist demonstrate are not seen from any Kenpo stylists in real fights? It all seems to be no different from Karate stylists one-step sparring -- very impractical for real situations when there is real flow.
When you go to the ring you train for the ring or the cage, there are rules and the space is confined so the best fighter wins. So it is no secret that you practice in the most basic form and condition yourself as an athlete to win. It is not a matter o who style is the best is a matter of who is best prepared or conditioned for thet fight.
@unicoestilo Because Vital target striking is illegal in the UFC if you want to know what Kenpo is look at the fowls list and everything on it = Kenpo.
