It's the same reason Joe Thornton wanted to fight Ryan Kesler in the first shift of the VAN/SJS series this year, Kesler is an important player so Joe wanted him off the ice for the first 5 minutes. Joe's important too but can be supplemented by Pavelski or Marleau. It's strategy.

I was at this game, went to the whole tournament, it was electrifying to see our Giants win it all. It's no shock that Lucic had a great year in Boston. He was a beast in Vancouver.

If that was in response to me....well, duh! Of course I know he's Canadian. East Vancouver, correct? I was just expressing my excitement over the fact that he's here in Boston. He had a little bit of the same thing as this video just last night: he flattened a guy in Boston's end, the puck squirted over to Krejci, who then tipped a nice pass over to Looch, who had skated around the wreckage he'd created and barreled down the left wing, then ripped one over Auld's shoulder. Beautiful!!

although i am a huge Flames fan i really like boston. they will have Rask soon as a goalie, and that's really an excitement, i think he has the potential to be new Brodeur.
You can call Lucic a "canadian" but he has no canadian blood at all in himself. but ok. i wont argue about that one. he was born there so in some point of view, he is canadian.

He's of Serbian descent, right? There was a huge spread on him in the Boston Globe the other day about him and I'm pretty sure that's what it said he was. He's also an accomplished alto saxophone player! That surprised me, to say the least.
And yeah, I love Rask, too. He's been solid the few games I've seen him in when he got called up. His time is due. I think next season, he'll be in for good. Both Thomas and Fernandez' contracts are up, and you know who they're gonna hang onto...

yup, he's of serbian descent. However i didnt knew that he is such a good fighter! i mean when i watched his fight with Jarkko Ruutu, who is, to be said at least, the best agitator in the nhl for some time, i was just like WOW! i didnt knew about saxophone, that's great
I think that Rask can really step up. remember his shutout with 35 saves? that was just like....impossible for a rookie goalie...not until he came at least. oh and i watched when he went mad at the ref at the P. Bruins game XD

I WAS AT THAT GAME!!!!! RIGHT IN FRONT OF US, BEST SHIFT OF HOCKEY EVER!!!! at the end of the game they announced the presentation of the mvp, and LUCIC LUCIC LUCIC echoed through the building, and earlier in the tournament there was a bad call against the giants and there was a 10 minute boo, it was steady all the way through the commercial break... that was an epic tournament

Oh I sure know how hes doing right now and yes I do know my shit. He was expected to crack the Canucks lineup this year but fell short. He is a pure sniper and should fit into the Canucks system perfectly as soon as he crack the roster which is most likely next year. He hasn't exactly gotten off to a hot start in Manitoba this year though. Hence you are not a true hardcore Nucks fan

What I think hes trying to point out is that Grabner doesn`t stand out to anyone here in Vancouver. I myself forgot his entire existence until he was mentioned here. I dont understand how you can measure hardcoreness of a fan. If he`s from Van City I believe he`s a true `nucks fan because most of us are.

I love the old players autographs, they are classic. They take pride in them more then today's players. Have you ever seen a Jean Beliveau, or a Gordie Howe, or Rocket Richard? Beautiful. Well worth the cost.

wow i admire this guy, his career had been magical so far, he grew up in vancouver, than made the vancouver giants, that's one huge dream come true right there, than than 1st year he took the giants to the memorial cup finals, than the next year he won the memorial cup in hometown vancouver. And now he's a star player for the bruins. Amazing

I was at this game, went to the whole tournament, it was electrifying to see our Giants win it all. It's no shock that Lucic had a great year in Boston. He was a beast in Vancouver.
