In my country (Hungary), Kosovo is considered to be a historical Serbian territory, but we respect the decision of local people about independence. So we are neutral.
In 1912, during the Balkan Wars, most of Kosovo WAS OCCUPED by the Kingdom of Serbia, while the region of Metohija (Albanian: Dukagjini Valley) was taken by the Kingdom of Montenegro..
...neighbouring countries had alrady become independent. Therefore being on the loosing side Albanian land were divided between Serbia(Kosova), Montenegro(Ulqini and more), Bulgaria(Illirida), and Greece(Cameria). These territories had always been innhabited by Albanians, and Serbs were almost inexistent in Kosova at the time. The same logic applies to territories in Montenegro, part of Macedonia, and CAmeria(in Greece). Keep in mind the Albanians in these lands opposed the decision.....

Ultimately, Kosova has never been technically part of Albania, because that was immposible since Kosova was annexed before the creation of the independent Albanian state. On the other hand Kosova has been part of Serbia, but this does not mean that Kosova is Serbian land just because they made it part of their state. That land was not barren or neither unpopulated. That land had been pupulated with Albanians long before they settled there.

Ultimately, Kosova has never been technically part of Albania, because that was immposible since Kosova was annexed before the creation of the independent Albanian state. On the other hand Kosova has been part of Serbia, but this does not mean that Kosova is Serbian land just because they made it part of their state. That land was not barren or neither unpopulated. That land had been pupulated with Albanians long before they settled there.

Kosovo Albanians live on their land for centuries! b4 the serbs existed in this region! God has done justice for these ppl finally! @Euriel1 Kosovo during WW2 was a part of Albania. Officially from 1945 Kosovo became a part of Serbia, together with Presheva Walley and Albanian part of FYROM.
I guess we miss Germans once again to have our Natural Albania. : )
