Hey there, sadly it was....a yellow maggot came out of him :( (it was still a caterpillar) thanks for the informative vid though!

i cant tell if this is happening to my butterfly...we found him outside, and he was doing fine. this morning he had diarrhea, and now he has crystals all around him... is this a cocoon or should i put him outside for whatever larvae are coming out??

as far as i know it only effects caterpillers.
