@patmaaan187 I think the definition of DnB (if u really dare to do this) is the speed and the broken beat .... things like snare on beat 2 and 4 is unfortunately wrong. DnB is versatile and the artist often play with these sterotypes, so you have to stretch the defintion.

And I know that the speed and the "Amen Break"-like beat isnt enough cause that also implies a lot of guitar-music that isnt classified as DnB ^^. My conclusion: It's just intuition ;).

You can't say that mate. Pendulum has created a shitload of tunes prior to In Silico and many of those tracks had raw electric guitar. They were considered real borderline to alternative and they still classify as DnB. Patmaaan's definition of a traditional DnB song is spot on.

It's new skool but it's still hott. Back in the day jungle and DnB was often laid down with either real drum kits or samples. Now so much is commercially licensed that a lot of it has that "produced" feel. This track still stands out, it's mixed great and has a ton of energy. Pendulum is progressive old skool DnB. They're actually a band and they perform much of their music. Commercial? maybe... Boring? NO WAY!!!!
