Judging by the comments on this thread, some people should just stick to TracFone bar phones and call it a day. Technology isn't very friendly to some people, it's just the way it is.
i,ve similar problem ,but my problem resolves whyt carge batery, i still have problems whit the normal answer speaker , it does not work ,untill that i use the loud speaker is the same whit more power.
You have screwed up your power management circuit by connecting the phone to a power source that doesn't supply a steady 550ma. For some reason, the moto q is really specific about having a lot of amperage.
1) Purchase an OEM Motorola adaptor.
2) Hard reset your phone (hold center button and power, select yes, wait)
3) Charge your battery.
4) Go to the motorola website and download the firmware update. Use a very good or brand-new usb cable and perform the update.
I had the same problem!!!!! The first time I had to take it up to verizon and have them hard reset it... well it happened again. so i looked it up online... you have to back up all your info and then Start>System Tools> Master Reset. Good luck!
i just got a motorola q9c. i was looking at my photos than i put it in my pocket 15min. later i grabbed it againg to make phone call and the phone was brick dead it does nothing no lights come on nada. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!

check ur battery. They lose connection with the phone when bounced around too much, like walking.
