But 1 on 1, where the play starts from the Top, I don't think Kemp has a chance on Bird and Magic. Why Kemp is a lousy dribbler... He needed Payton most of the time. He's a great leaper, but leaping is not basic in basketball. That is why Air Jordan never won a title when his main arsenal was driving hard to the basket. Instead he won titles when he became a great post up player... a shooter.

Magic Johnson led a dilapidated LA Team to beat a strong and healthy Portland Trail Blazers team. In other words, Magic has proven that he was really a winner. Kemp? He was athletic and strong alright... but as far as I could remember, they choked so many times in the first round in the West despite being number 1--losing to number 8's in the process. He's a chicken in crunch situations.

@mawriz there was a documentary where shawn said when he came into the league and had trash talked bird and bird about it. I remember before the game kemp said in the documentary bird came over and said i heard what you said and punished kemp that night. at the end of kemps story he said that he learned a lesson not to ever bad mouth a player like larry legend
