  • ups... I just understood the image (and the intention)!! sorry for the paranoia, I am a little touchy because of this late criticism towards Tony Parsons by some new wannabe advaita teachers.

  • This silly image just shows how the ego reacts when it feels threatened... The only bad news is, if you spit at the sky...

  • lol'd at the discription

  • I seem to remember that in the early days Tony seemed to suggest that going down the pub (for example) could equally be a place where liberation could happen, and that sitting with gurus was misguided 'seeker-activity'. Whereas now there is the suggestion that something 'energetic' might happen if immersed in the presence of someone liberated who is delivering the ND message. How does this differ exactly from just being more seeking? With the seeker sitting there with some seed of a hope?

  • @Yoooootooobe Often thought that myself.. anybody?

  • @Yoooootooobe It is the same :)

  • @Yoooootooobe There is only boundlessness, there is only energy or aliveness and that also appears as separate to itself. So that is all that is, the pub, the bus stop, agitation, confusion, clarity, etc etc. When there is clear and UNCOMPROMISING message regarding the paradox of looking for your own absence, when that is communicated, especially in a group, then there is an almost palpable energy in the room, a more obvious opening to boundlessness, that is either heard or not heard.

  • @Yoooootooobe The other thing about it is that it is totally and utterly impossible to communicate a message without it being seen as a carrot to the individual, as that's the filter through which it is being heard, i.e. one that wants to get something out of what is being said for themselves. It's not the individual that hears the message, the apparent individual doesn't want it as it senses and knows that it spells their demise.

  • @darraghmaree you talk as if you've have had direct experience. How nice it would be to hear about your story.

  • @Yoooootooobe Good question, I've been wondering about this too

  • perfect cartoon for the topic

  • great - also love the cartoon.

  • appropriate cartoon image! ;-)
