Hi everyone does anyone know any websites with info, photos etc of Sheffield Samanthas allnighters, looked everywhere, now i need help.. going through a phase of nostalgia,
@red777photo I Used to ride my Lambretta from Slough to go to Clifton Hall, always arrived tired, thirsty but ready to dance. The venue was excellent and I have 3 good years of memories, anniversary patches but no photos, oh for an iPhone back then.
wow, great video! brings back so many memories that feel like only yesterday! please have a look at my channel and listen to some of those great old casino and mecca songs in my vids! :0)
I can't believe it, thats me at 2.34 just turning to the camera between Sidras theme and Bob Relf. Incidently does anyone have the vocal to Sidras theme as long as you love me I'l stay, equally as good as the vocal to exus trek.
seeing as you was there!where is it? everyone keeps telling me they have seen me[girl in blue suit at 3.14.gotta say i was shocked it does look like me but i know it isnt,at least
The bit that I was in I think was either filmed in front of the bar downstairs at Wigan or Mr M's. The bit with you in I don't recognise It looks like the film has been cut together with some footage of a different club. We always wore long skirts at Wigan (easier to dance in) It looks more Mod to me but I could be wrong. Sorry I can't be more help.x
.. hope u don't mind me adding RED, those that followed Dave Goodin's articles then discovered almost a secret scene that had been established in the 60's (so credit whre credit's due) that remained almost a secret, by all but those that loved the tracks, ignored by all but police depts & newspapers reporting raids, until the much later commercialisation & media frenzy of the casino when tracks such as skiing in the snow, landslide & wigans chosen few appeared on national tv ie top of the pops!
AWESOME AND THEN SOME, THANKS for posting Red. Along with many others who weren't into the commercial music being churned out in music shops etc., we somehow found ourselves listening to hard to find blues & soul tracks, & started reading 'blues & soul' where we found Dave Godin writing articles about stuff we loved, we then went in search of clubs mentioned, hundreds of miles away. This was early 70's around the time Dave referred to this as'northern'and hence it's name, but we just said SOUL!
only the decaf ones. i can't remember fishing hooks i would have thought it might be dangerous as when the barbs get in you can't get them out unless you go to casaulty.
Can only speak for myself and a few mates, and we certainly never drunk black coffee all night to keep us awake,I would say quite a decent majority were popping pills at wigan and other venues.
Slyget -says your '25'.....so how would you know what went on??....i went to wigan on thwe bus from glasgow and my mates from northern ireland went too -nobody got glassed nobody fought..it wiz how it should have always been...
