Mitchell's plan for pretty much every situation going south "Uh, good luck you guys - I'll be out in my fighter that no one is going to take as a serious threat. BYE!"
@xxXlolXxx37 They did. Prometheus was outdated and built with a bunch of thrown together Gou'ald technologies and later incorporated to the best of it's ability with Asgard. It's why they designed Deadelus Cruisers. At the end of the show a Tauri vessel could take multiple Ori strikes and destroy Ori ships with a couple hits of the newest Asgard beam weapons.
they are so stupid.. why the hell didn't they destroy the damn satellite in the first place ?? rail guns and missiles don't they have any sense..how can a military commander be that stupid
@littlemegamonkey they lost this ship & lost other people's lives and then when they were fighting Michael they got heavy damage & almost lost another ship due to them dropping their shields and beaming Shepard & Ronon up..I don't recall if they lost any crew members or had any injuries ... u have to balance the lost of 2 lives to the greater good of saving the whole crew and ship...that is what u have to do as a commander make difficult decisions like that
@TheIcelandicPatriot Actually after Stargate SG1 left they couldn't make contact with their gate and it was presumed that the two countries had destroyed themselves.
@gayfarmerboy Aye true but i would like to send the Daedalus and the Sun Tzu out there just to make sure nothing survived and aid any Caledonians if anyone of them were left allive.
the prometheus took 3 shots and fell appart, that with the Goa'Uld shields and weak hull. the Korolev with new shields and better hull and structural integrity was annihilated in 2 shots?
@jaspertheking4life Actually the 2 shots that destroyed the Korolev were similtanious hits. The shields might have held had the Korolev not been hit by previous shots from the Ori Motherships.
@jaspertheking4life The Korolev took at least one more shot near the beginning of the battle. They might have also taken another hit some time before the destruction, so it could have taken as many as 4 hits before being destroyed. Also, the satellite was only designed by the Ori; it was built by the humans. So it probably wasn't as strong as the cannon on the Ori ships. So, Prometheus probably would have been destroyed after 1 or 2 hits against an Ori ship.
@dasaxophonist Not necessarily. The Ori never embraced technology like the Ancients did. Also the Atlanteans (Ancients) in Pegasus galaxy were the last breed of Ancients and possessed their most impressive technologies.
This Was the best stargate ship ever so dont dis it if it lived and shot its asgard beams would have raped the ori Satalite and it dies trying to save dr. Jackson
@XiondzProboshcz Stuff can't burn in space to the best of my knowledge, but they sure can inside the ship, so some fire and smoke escaping after someone put a giant hole through it doesn't seem entirely implausible.
That being said, any explosion in space would be an incredibly quickly expanding, boring affair, so yeah, rule of cool beats realism any day. :p
This show was created around the time Star Trek enterprise was still popular. It was a movie at first which came out in the early 90's. This particular series ended in 07 I believe.
Star Trek was created in 1966 and is going to release their 11th film in 2009.
Star Trek Enterprise was the last series to be filmed.
First was Star Trek (1966), then Star Trek The Next Generation (1989), then Star Trek Deep Space Nine (1993), then Star Trek Voyager (1995), followed by Star Trek Enterprise (2001)
Still wihtout Gene Rodenberry this show would probably never had existed or existed in a different format.
2:40 lol they get sucked out before the window breaks...

the Prometheus was too close to the weapon. if it was further away, the shields might have taken the first blast.

After the destruction of the Ori the Tauri should have declared war against the
Ram protectori and nuke them so big that nothing could live there ever again.

@TheIcelandicPatriot why?

@littlemegamonkey Watch this video and you will know why. A man offers a total surrender and yet they fired.
They have no honor.

They can slay the rest of the Ram people and aid the survivors of Caledonia.

@TheIcelandicPatriot No point. The two countries ended up destroying one another and their planet shortly after this. Good riddance. Simpletons.

ProphetTenebrae 3 years ago
engines weapons life support and main systems were out. u think you could survive/
studioAREfan 2 years ago
That's not really the point, Mitchell just repeatedly gets outta dodge by jumping in the fighter.
Besides, the obvious mistake was not shooting BEFORE they put the shield up.
But sure, if I was him - I'd get off the big heavily damaged target too.
