This would have to be one of the most affecting scenes in season 8 & that's saying something! (Don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't yet seen it). I think RA is doing an amazing job with Spooks/Lucas. Season 9 has got off to a great start-Wonderful writing and camera work. Well worth me trailing through the internet to find the eps. (not showing in Oz yet). Thanks for the vid. Excellent.
my god, hes a brilliant actor. Sir guy wasnt my fave character in Robin Hood, but i loved watching his performance every time. I may have to track this series down and watch some of it
This episode was absolutely fantastic. Lucas' backstory, despite being somewhat uncomfortable and horrific, is also fascinating. The complexity of his relationship with Oleg and the subtleties and how it changed over the four years just left me with out words. I loved the weaving in of Dorian Gray, creating another subtle but complex layer to the story line. This episode left my brain gobsmacked, and it is a testament to both the writers and fine actors who made it so brilliant.
It is so afflicting to watch these scenes showing some of the horrid things Lucas was subjected to in that Russian prison. Richard's acting is so convincing that I need to remind myself over and over again that it's just fiction! Kudos to Richard and I have to say that he surely deserves a BAFTA nomination for this excellent performance! *sobs*
They have soooooo much scope to bring his past into the present and if that episode was anything to go by it makes great TV and with such a good actor it gives the storylines real gravitas
I have to agree. I've loved this show from the start, but RA's superb acting ability has added such depth and made Lucas into an incredibly complicated and enthralling character to see unfold, something I don't think others could have done to the same extent.
le falta ser un poco mas natural en su actuacion pero aun asi es genial

I'm really glad Richard decided to do Spooks. It's such a great show and it gives him so many new things to act.

This is one of our best TV series, I think that RA joining the cast has taken it to another level.
