Good luck! Ayu has been my idol for so many years and im caucasian-american...I can't speak Japanese..though I know a few sentences and words(and NO not from anime) I actually learned from Japanese songs. I always sing Japanese songs..and it helps to pronounciate them or atleast know how most vowels and stuff are said in regular conversational Japanese...Ayu inspired me to learn Japanese it's such a beatiful language...I also found want to learn Chinese.

I agree with oFacelesso. Your voice is good but when your singing (this is how I feel about singing) its not just a song. Its a bunch of feelings put together and having someone in the world relating to the song and lyrics as well as the music. When your singing someone else's song, you'd need to think about what the song actually means to you.
