that's cos patsy is like a bad conscience to eddie while saffy is the opposite. but then eddie probably has some sort of maternal connection with saffy so she usually is compliant to give in to what saffy wants with her. but then patsy usually like to intefere with the good relation between mother and daughter, so eddie probably has to act as a mediator when things get bad between her daughter and her best friend.
