I realize this is not an appropriate place to post this, but I am unable to message you:
Whyyyyy is that piece on Paper Anniversary private. That was my favorite thing on all of youtube. Hadn't watched it in awhile and I went to show someone today and BAM…
I mean, I understand why you did it, just expressing my sadness.
good poems give perspective, especially on subjects that are right in front of our noses, but are continually ignored in the day to day. they re-tell the truth in a new light.
I hope you dont mind but I intend to show this at writers group after school on tuesday.
the image it gives is very surreal and picturesque. a nice thing to do for somthing like stairs, make people look again.
also, a good ending, it brings emphasis onto the importance of the matieral if you repeat yourself, but changing it slightly from the begining brings the attention in with the repeated bit, and keeps it there for the important ending. well done.
beautiful. I wish I could ryme in English. It is difficult!! In Italian or Spanish I can do it easily, but rythm in English is complex and really beautiful.
Awesome! Have you searched for Def Poetry Jam videos on youtube? Their timing and delivery is amazing and the rhyming and syntax of the stanzas is kick ass.
I really liked that. For being "lighthearted," I didn't really see it as completely lighthearted...it seemed very symbolic to me. I hope that you keep posting these. Really.
I've been into slam a lot lately as well, I'm probably going to try and record myself in the next few days of me doing some of my work. I absolutely love the stuff you have put up. You have talent.
Have you ever gone to the Dallas Poetry Slam? It's every Friday night at Cafe Madrid I think.
We had a slam poetry night at my university a few nights ago and I have to say that, after watching a few of your videos, the way you prepare yourself and your words is way better than what I saw there.
My favorite of your's has to be Paper Anniversary.
Take it from someone a bit older than u & a lot of years of Ed. - very good, very, very good!

poems like this can be grounding, in a sense.

PS i like to write slammers, too. cheers!
