OK. Technicals, please. Was this a hologram (in which case I am impressed!) or was this "miracle of broadcasting" where the studio audience was responding to a screen, rather that two bodies that "appeared to be before them."

It makes a big difference in how you view this video.

Of course, the performance is great and I'm shaking my head over how beautiful Elvis was, especially in his early years (I was only 5 years old when he was becoming known). Sigh...

Whats makes a great singer! Throw their top 20 songs in the trsh and then see how the remainder hold up and their quaity and relevance. Most of the great singers have been a few marque songs each and then a bunch of second rate trash. Take your favorite singer and listen to their worst song on their CD!

You can throw away the Top 100 of Elvis' songs and they still sound great. Stuff you never even heard before.

The producers were afraid Celine would out shine Elvis, but not on that night. As great as Celine is, Elvis was singing this song in tribute to Martin Luther King Jr's untimely death in Elvis's hometown of Memphis, Tenn. Elvis never performed harder than he did that night. Celine can be his equal on that night, but noone could ever out shine Elvis with this performance.
