The first part of this appearance is missing, but as I recall, this was Brother Theodore's second last appearance on Letterman, in 1988. The musical guest, Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, had just performed their hit single "What I Am." Dave asked Theodore if he enjoyed the music. Theodore replied "I watched her with greed and lust." Dave said "I imagine that's how you spend much of your time."
His last visit in 89 was to promote his part in the Burbs movie. I wondered why he never came again.
@mosquitobight STORIES I've read & heard was because of Letterman moving to the GE Studio's , where as the old Studio he was in was right around the Block from where Theo lived & it was easier for Theo to make those shows on a Whim ?
YOU ARE LOOKING AT WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE PERFECT SOUP SOUP NAZI FOR SEINFELD!! BROTHER THEODORE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE SOUP NAZI ON THOSE SEINFELD EPISODES. SOEMONE AT NBC DROPPED DER BALL HERE.
@revgen123 Will you please give it a rest? Caps lock, too. We heard you on every single other video of Brother Theodore. The fact of the matter is he's passed away and Seinfeld is over. Let it go.
He lived right up the street from me on the upper West side.He was really a very nice, sweet old man.

I think so to. This man is a talent not seen in anyone today and it's a great shame if you ask me. The man also had a very facinating life.
