1.I cannot agree with you: in the time of Genghis Khaan Russians lived only in Eastern Europe, west to the Ural mountains. So they have no chance to meet with Mongols at that time. It is a fact that not nomads were influenced by Russians but in the contrary. Those Christians in Mongolia in the time of Ginghis Khaan were Nestorians, a Christian sect, driven out from Europe by Catholics, who claimed that they are heretics.
2. But those Nestorians were not Russians. I readed that in Mongolia the Nestorians were Turkic origin tribes like the Kereits and Naimans. So Bogd has no chance to be a Slavic word for God. But as I know, all Mongols were Shamanists at those times, so I do not think that Ginghis Khaan was a Christian.
3.If he were Christian, why Mongol Empire was Shamanist until its end, except those Mongols who ruled other countries than Mongolia? And why Christian missionaries like Plano Carpini and Wilhelm Rubruk went to Mongolia to convert the khaan, but without success?
its a big world,we live in .
So many things going on.
thanks for listening
