It's really simple, biggydog. North Country Bank And Trust is based out of Munising, Michigan. The branch in BFC is in Traverse City. They normally ship guns from the main branch which is about 5 hours away.
Look it up on Google Maps. Texas doesn't have a giant body of water like Lake Michigan in the way, which adds a lot of hours to the drive!

The vault where the bank keeps the guns might have been 4 hrs. away; but there were some guns at the bank, given to people as soon as they opened the account. The point of the scene was to highlight how easy it is to get a gun in America.
You argue that he went to get the gun from the bank too rob it. That says alot about your type of character. In Europe where Im from it is incredibly difficult for an average person to get there hands on firearms. Moore was highlighting the relative ease in which someone can aquire a gun in America..

my mom is the banker that "gave" Michael Moore the gun. The bank used to be here in Traverse City, Michigan and my mom and brother both worked at the bank (she's the darkhaired lady with glasses) and what he says about the bank is all true. They did stage the shot, they don't have loaded guns on the premise, and the vault is not located on site at the bank and is in fact across town. This guy, although not very well spoken, is indeed correct.

It's really simple, biggydog. North Country Bank And Trust is based out of Munising, Michigan. The branch in BFC is in Traverse City. They normally ship guns from the main branch which is about 5 hours away.
Look it up on Google Maps. Texas doesn't have a giant body of water like Lake Michigan in the way, which adds a lot of hours to the drive!

Moore also made other fictional movies in addition to his "documentaries." One of my "favorites" is Canadian Bacon with John Candy. There are a lot of underlying tones and messages that he tries to sneak in there. When people did not succumb to his messages in these types of films he started making "documentaries."

This documentary sucks! You need to be a lot smarter to break Moore's logic. Most of the things that you have said in your "6 Degrees from Truth" documentary are unsourced and not true! The vault where the bank keeps the guns might have been 4 hrs. away; but there were some guns at the bank, given to people as soon as they opened the account. And I know that the gun was not loaded - you are comparing it to a toaster and what not! But could you just load it (some bullets in your pocket maybe!)
