Reminds of working as a DJ at WTOH (Springhill). The greatest 10 watt college station of all time. I'd love to remind myself back to 1991 and 1992 when we dj'd there. What a great time.
I love this band soo much- it reminds me of my younger days at Camp Pendleton surfing with at San Clemente with my brothers Sean and Glenn, Christian Fletcher, Caveman and dropping in on Dino ANdino........................
@trifectamedia yes my brother- that's as true as your desire to want to sing!:D Since then I have learned to play bass-6 years...but haven't surfed in a while. the Grapes of Wrath are one of my favorite bands. I love them. Maybe we can play together some time
Brings back so many memories. I saw GoW perform at The Zoo in Winnipeg in '87. I was 16. The sound was tight and the boys played humbly and with passion. Now that I am grown up and living in Washington DC, this really brings me back to my Canadian prairie roots. GoW were truly underated! Although they never broke into the mainstream, every track on every release held its own and does to this day!
One of my favorite bands of the late 80s. i was 18, it was like it was only me who liked or who knew the band here in Tacloban City, Philippines. I played thier tape over and over and over again.. Thanks for posting this. REUNION!
VERY cool to see these videos, I went to school with Kevin and Chris (Tom was s couple of grades younger) Loved watching these guys get popular and have some hits.
Great Song & Video, I've been fortunate enough to see the Grapes live at the Rialto in Montreal back in their heyday in the late 80's. The grapes are responsible for influencing the acoustic sound my band tried emulating during the 90's... great stuff.
i once saw these guys in my hometown of victoria, bc and the opening act was the sugarcubes ( the lead singer was bjork, at the time i didn't care much much for the sugarcubes of bjork, as time went by my tastes grew and now i think the sugarcubes / bjork are awsome ).
I wish that i I would have known who this band was 18 years ago when they were new and touring. But this is a close second. Some American band Should cover ANY of this bands songs and make it popular. GREAT music from Kelowna! Oh yeah! Keep going Tom
Youtube, the last refuge for my 'Grapes of Wrath' fix. Wore out my cassette years ago, and can't find it on tape, vinyl, or CD......anywhere. Any ideas where I might get a copy?
i remembner seeing these guys in the 80s at the university center on the campus of the university of south florida in tampa, fla. not alot of people that night for the show but they were really good!!!
Yeah, I heard the tune on college radio while at school and it made me go out and by the album. Always wondered if I was the only person that knew about this band. Cool to know other people are out there.

I was really lucky and I got to mix sound for Kevin last night at a club.
Solo show and man he was fantastic.
He really shines and his new material is spot on.
He played a few classic grapes tunes (including this one) as well so that was nice to hear

Saw them twice in Chicago at the Cabaret Metro. 1987. The first time they opened for Robyn Hitchcock. They were amazing.

And I was bigger nerd to run out and buy "Treehouse" as soon as I saw this video. Great tune and a very underrated progressive band.
