I remember everytime I was watching TV or playing another game, he kept bugging me non-stop to stop what I was doing so he could play this piece of shit. And the second time he rented it, when it was time to bring it back to the video store, he acted like a little cry baby and refused to let my older brother return it to the point where my older brother forcefully turned the N64 off and take the game out himself.

The game is impossible to beat on harder difficulty. On my cartridge, maybe it was just the savegame tho, (never tried it again) there was a bug on the train level, Natalya would ALWAYS die, no matter what you do. That bug only occured on the 00 difficulty tho. ;(
@enemY1990 its not a bug. its true that natalya dies when she tries to hack the computer. cause she needs more time. 10 seconds more or so. and you can get 30 seconds EXTRA time if you shot general ourumov AND Xenia. so dont shoot ourumov only, but try to line up with ourumov and xenia, keep shooting and try to wound xenia too. that will give you the extra time natalya needs to hack and get away! now start your N64 and try again! :D

You can really tell this reviewer is at a loss of bad things to say about this game. Goldeneye 64 is the father of the Modern First Person Shooter. It showed that FPS's could be done on a console, and it popularized the FPS multiplayer, thus paving the way for games like Halo and Call of Duty, as well as being the direct inspiration for Perfect Dark and Timesplitters.

That statement he made was actually the case back then. You mention Call Of Duty and Halo, but those games are from a newer modern generation w/broadband. The N64 had better Multiplayer games compared to the PSX, but yet most of the best console games back then were single player; Metal Gear Solid, FF VII, Ocarina Of Time, Banjo-Kazooie and Resident Evil 2.
You can really tell how old this video is because of how ironic the review is. 1st successful 4 player split screen FPS.

i still play this-my brothers (they're not Soul Reapers) played it first-i followed-its now my game- my fave is the jungle singleplayer the most (i put invisibility on 0////0) its easier tho for me to complete the levels-u get killed less sometimes
the blocky human figures are still one of the weirdest things of this game-weird scary
i love this game-cant believe u criticize it-i ACTUALLY love the bungee jumping-its fun!

Remember that hindsight is 20/20... This review was done when Goldeneye fist came out. At the time, it was just a great game.. it takes time for people to realize how influential a game is, and which ones will end up in the history books.

Remember, people, this was a different era. I'm glad to see that not everyone considers this game wonderful, the game's vastly overrated. I still have a ton of respect for it for paving the way for the N64 Quake 2 port's multiplayer, though; I loved that.
I do miss that gaming generation quite a bit. I had a SNES back when this game was new, I remember people bragging about Metal Gear Solid on their Playstations and playingSuprMarioWrld.

That statement he made was actually the case back then. You mention Call Of Duty and Halo, but those games are from a newer modern generation w/broadband. The N64 had better Multiplayer games compared to the PSX, but yet most of the best console games back then were single player; Metal Gear Solid, FF VII, Ocarina Of Time, Banjo-Kazooie and Resident Evil 2.
You can really tell how old this video is because of how ironic the review is. 1st successful 4 player split screen FPS.
