Dont think that I am being rude, but put down the camera and teach him to shoot properly! That many shots at a squirrel with a shotgun is just insane! He should have his cheek pressed down on the stock more so he can get a better view of the line and keep it more stable. I like how you stress the safety being on, here in Canada being safe on a hunt is taught well before a kid ever gets his hands on a gun, and I think youve got a future hunter taking some of those small american whitetails!
I agree he was too far off the cheek rest to make an accurate shot - but I disagree about putting the camera down. This video will make an EXCELLENT teaching tool to show him how he can improve. Especially for a kid his age - a picture is worth a thousand words :) Good vid, Quinn.
I think saying "insane" is a bit harsh for an 11-year old. These are fast moving red squirrels that disappear in a split second - as this one kept doing. I was there and I doubt I could have done any better than he did with that gun/load combination (20GA, low-brass #6) shooting at a small, fast-moving red squirrel. He has proven himself on moving targets (rabbits, pheasants, skeet) MANY times. The important thing is that he is getting experience in the outdoors.
@ohcaptainmycaptain4 um excuse me sir this video is nothing bu excellent! this man is taking his son outdoors with him, and teaching him everything properly, not only would i feel absolutely comfortable if him and his son were to hunt with me, just be seeing this video, but his son handles, loads, carries and fires that shotgun better than some adults that i have seen! and maybe before comparing US to you canadians you might want to know we here have to go through a hunters saftey course
@ohcaptainmycaptain4 well before you can get your license to hunt, and in that course you have to show and prove that you can not only load and shoot the guns you will be using, but you can do so in a safe manner, now please dont take these comments as me attacking at you are trying to bad mouth you, but like i said this video was absolutlely perfect! and to you sir and your son thumbs up and iam subing your channel!
Nice job

Reds are great fun! They skin easily and have enough meat for a tasty treat.
