I'm about to buy this gun and im going to put on a 3-9x40 black scope on it. Should i buy a all black one for looks and sacrifice the real wood or get a wood one but it wouldn't look as good. I know looks aren't everything but i would like to know. PLease respond back fast

I'm aware, but when the gearbox gets wrecked just drop in a new one, which wouldnt be necessary until after a LOT of wear. and FPS may not be everything but its alot more satisfying in the field when you can actually shoot through brush and foliage to eliminate enemie's who cant see your BB's coming.

yes but weak considering you could get an ICS or CA AK-74 style gun and an m120 upgrade for only $360 and have it shoot 380-400 fps. To me thats the only dissapointing aspect of this gun

podcast metal or white metal is cheaply made, low quality metal. almost all airsoft brands in china use it for their better and more expensive guns. you can see if its podcast metal if you scratch a little of the paint off of ur gun and see if its white if its white is podcast metal

It used to be Japan who has the airsoft industry by the balls. But now a days, that seems to be Taiwan, Hong Kong and China. However, Japan has some smaller companies that still makes great airsoft weapons but they are just really hard to come by, and expensive.

No, it's not, that i aren't able to work with Airsoft guns (i do that really often). I am just saying, that i can't understand, why they are building Airsoft guns still like toys. The TM P90 is a good example of a well constructed gun. No tools for changing the HU-Chamber or Barrel. 2 (!!!) screws and you can take out the Gearbox. V6 Gearbox (the best GB construction -> external switch assembly (ok, the switch assambly could have been improved). But a p90 is just no AK74;)

Not race, but mentallity! If it would be german, english or svedish...or whatever! In Asia, they know that, even if every customer would buy only ONCE a piece of them, it is enogh to make money! There are so many things from china, that are crap, but people are buying because of the price! And Airsoftplayers are buying because of the fact, that there are no european airsoftguns ;) I bet, if for example there would be Yunker AK74 as airsoft...nobody would buy a VFC!

airsoft originated in japan, therefor they make the best airsoft stuff. if you bought a junkers ak74 it would cost more than your car and you wouldnt be able to find parts for it lol.

and since japan invented the aeg, i highly doupt germany would catch up so quickly and make good airsoft guns.

the upside to the cheap chinese aegs, is they can be completely upgraded and out peform even the vfc one for less than the cost of most high end guns. they are perfect upgrade platforms.

The question of "catching up" is only a question of engineering skills. AEG's are no supercomplicated pieces of High-tech. And german engineering skills should be good enough to do it better!

actually they are pretty complex. if they werent it wouldnt take 4 hours to take them apart and put them back together. the v2 gearbox isnt complex, but its also problematic and locks up in semi constantly.

4 hours?! I need some 15 minutes to take my VFC AK apart and together! If you got some practice you will be able to do that too! If you want to see some complex part of tech, then check out some machines like a CNC-milling machine or simply a car! Believe me, a Gearbox from an ASG is not really complex...

the gun takes down like the real ak. you need 15 minutes? ive taken my gearbox out in 15 seconds. putting a gearbox together or upgrading it is a slow process unless you like to rush things and risk fucking something up.

i work on cars and fix commerical appliances, do not tell me what is and isnt complex.

I mean taking it down completly with gearbox in 15min. I upgrade a lot of weapons with V2, 3, and V6. It's simple if you now how to. I study machines, and i have seen a lot of more complex mechanical devices than an Airsoft Gearbox. What is so complex about 3 gears, some bushings etc....?

it is running off of an external battery, you can see the wire trailing off to somewhere off-camera. In WGC's test range they must have a mammoth battery so they don't have to recharge often or something.

Was the chonograph run with .2g or .25g? ~310 FPS is a fair bit lower than the AK-74su ran with .2's, but it's just about right for that gun w/.25g ammo. I like the field stripping, but I must ask what'sa up with that foregrip.
