Overdrive was just myself (I was in-house musician at Psygnosis at the time) and Stuart Ellis (a great local guitarist who owns a music shop), although I did get to meet Joe Satriani when he was playing a gig in Manchester. We took a Playstation and the latest version of the game so that he could see what he'd allowed his music to be used on. Very nice bloke. He said he never plays video games because it's "so easy to get rusty" on the guitar.

i miss the days when video game makers would write their own music. i love hearing good licensed soundtracks, but there's something to be said for having a soundtrack written specifically for the game
