"THIS IS THE MOST INFORMATIVE ROCK CLIMBING INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO!" i've ever seen here in youtube...unlike the others that are only showing how good they are in rock climbing and not teaching clearly.. 3 thumbs up for this! nice informative and well explained video....
This 8 vedio set, is by far the BEST demonstration, and instruction I have ever seen in video form. I have taken the course, many many many times, along with having taken teh acmg CGI 1 course, And having taught the course. This is beautiful. No questions asked.
Awesome videos, i have just started to climb, and i find them very, very useful and well explained! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge in such good quality material!
Thank you so much for these videos! I went to an open climb at my local gym today and I wish I had watched this series first! :) By far, the best instruction on YouTube.
Excellent set of instruction! I'm going to practice more as soon as my arms recover! Can't get enough of bouldering, looking forward to starting routes and eventually outdoor climbing :)
Thanks for the videos. I've been climbing for a little while but I'm still a beginner so it was good to confirm whether I was doing certain things right or not.
1 - You're not always feeding ropes to the climber, only when they're above the last clip. If they clip above their waist, you'd be taking in the slack instead.
2 - When belaying lead climb, you need to pay a lot closer attention to the climber, looking for signals such as when they reach for their rope for the next clip - to feed them more rope.
Search for "Mick Pearson Clipping into protection" on youtube for a very in depth session as well.
A very nice series of videos for the beginning climber. The videos are easy to understand with clear instructions. Nice production quality. Thank you for sharing your expertise!

Excellent video. Couple more points:
1 - You're not always feeding ropes to the climber, only when they're above the last clip. If they clip above their waist, you'd be taking in the slack instead.
2 - When belaying lead climb, you need to pay a lot closer attention to the climber, looking for signals such as when they reach for their rope for the next clip - to feed them more rope.
