Just don't make him your idle. Artists are not exactly what we expect them to be.

The meaning of the first verse is the deepest one. It says:

"No rejoicing at the death of an enemy, as our loved ones will also have to die."

English translation can't do justice to this concept and poetry in Punjabi, so I'll just stop here.

All I can say is that I have recited these stanzas many times in my personal life so many times because they are as contemporary as can be.

It is deep sufi potery, here is my favorite for the parents of today:

Thanks for your comments, as you don't even understand the language he is singing in....you have however grasped the main jist of it. It's a wisdom song...like he starts saying "don't celebrate when your enemy dies for you will also die one day" and so on....it's quite inspirational.
