I'm sad that I never got to learn the language of my heritage. I was born in the original homeland of the Potawatomi people in Indiana, and moved to Arizona when I was six. I wish I could learn, but there is no one to teach me. :/
@neelyjustin I am very happy that autumn is speaking! I think all opinions need to be taken into consideration and we all need to see where we are lacking or need help in.. all opinions need to be taken into consideration
Migwetth autumn!! for your opinions email me anytime!! at neshnabkwe@gmail.com I love to meet more people who can speak potawatomi!!
You can not say that, that man is not a Potawatami native by his color, or any of the other man. I feel as if you Potawatami are very hard on life. I feel though as if you were trying to be meaan about what you said. As anishinaabekwaaks we are supposed to be excepting of other people, even our own.
This is an excellent example of a group of young Potawatomi people who have had a limited exposure to the Potawatomi language speaking it. The key to keeping our language alive and vibrant is people encouraging our young people to speak their language.
They need to work on their accents a bit. :)
