How can I train with any of the Yamakasi? I really want to learn more of this art, I train by myself, but it might not be enough. I want to learn what they can teach.
I Think the problem is that parkour is being Diluted, with each new generation we lose the basics and focus on who can do the biggest jumps, i think we need to go back to the source... to the purity of movement were we aspire to become stronger and take advantage of our environment
we can grow stronger as a community by focusing on growing stronger ourselves
!it was like a dream.....FFFFTTTT ... i did it , i know , i dont remember , anything i know i have feeling , becose you were FFFUUUUUUUUFFF / / ...like this"
Does anyone know how I can get in contact with Stephane? I am living in Thailand at the moment, and even though this video was shot a couple years ago, if he's still in Thailand I'd really love to train with him.
i used to think if parkour as an extreme sport like skateboarding. but after seeing this i see it closer to a martial art in the aspects of discipline and also an art
this... wow. where i live, there aren't many traceurs, so i dont have the chance to learn parkour. i've watched many many videos, but after this one i realised that parkour is what i want to learn. i gotta find out how to learn it, no matter what it takes.
@Taniamylove1 he is french....he may find it difficult to explain what is parkour for him in english words. So,listen to what he tells and u we'll be convinced he thinks the same as u
hey do you think he can help me out im trying to teach my friends but i only know so much and if so dont send to this email pleace send to skaterboy1224433@aim.com thank i would love to learn more from the best
Urban Free Flow is kinda a joke now, they really went against the Parkour spirit and caused a lot of drama. lots of media attention ect. now they take other peoples videos and put them on their profile.
I herd this quote from a guy on the jiyo park video "we don't stop playing because we grow up, we grow up because we stop playing" that just hit me so hard and i loved it because im starting to find more and more people who want to keep parkour at it's roots and im just glad to see that there are more of us out there. I don't know if parkour can change the world but it would seem there are those of us who going to try damn hard to change it for the better
Stephane is such an inspiration to me. He trains so hard every day. Parkour has changed my life, but I want to be near his level one day. Look at 15:57
Stephane was and still is such an inspiration .for me. He trains so hard every day. Parkour has changed my life, but it isn't on the level he is. That is where I hope to be some day
Watching this film again its like get back to the first days of training (if you were influeced by this, of course). This remains you how important its getting to the basics on certains periods of time in your training. Just beautiful.
@SEPHROTH101 if youre talking about the wall that is seen in david belles vids its in liselle paris. if yu search daniel ilabanca i think thats how its spelled? then you will see the name of the location in case i mispelled it. =]
This video is so awesome to watch! But the thing is that my cousin is on the same team as him, Parkour Generations. Go check out the website. His name is John Conway and he just got certified as an Affiliate Coach. It under Resources btw. This is so crazy and inspirational
@TheDayIsNotLost i think Vigroux can do Illabaca's stunts, it's just there aren't much of stunts videos of him, he's more about the basic "going from A to B" parkour, not the "do it as pretty as possible" one
I think some people don't understand that Stephane Vigroux is one of the principle developers of parkour. He has trained for nearly 10 years, and much of that time was spent with David Belle and other members of the original group of guys (the Yamakasi) who were responsible for creating and developing this discipline.
I think this is stupid... I mean i love parkour its a effing life style... But idk its like this is stupid to me i don't know why its like they made parkour technical and awkward such a simple thing you dong think you just feel and do turned turned into TONS of instructions when it really takes very little instruction
If you live in the USA and would like an opportunity to meet and train with Stephane and other members of Parkour Generations and the Yamakasi, please visit the Parkour Horizons or Parkour Generations websites for more info regarding the upcoming American Rendezvous event, May 29-30, 2010 in Columbus, Ohio.

No, you are stupid if you think parkour is sport.
It is non-competitive, physical discipline or simply: the art of movement.
Like skateboarding or freestyling on bmx isn't sport..
Both of them are some kind of art.
And yes, I do parkour.
