@LCherishzxc I would get black... it looks classy. the white 9780 for some reason looks plastic-like to me, and cheap. like a toy phone. the only blackberry that I think looks amazing in white is the bold 9000. but it all comes down to preference. see which one you like more.

I hate when these reviewers are making the blackberry web browser bad ...they make it look like you have to hit the menu button and select zoom to zoom in and out, there wrong all you have to do is hold alt and scroll with the trackpad, its very easy to use the web browser and for some reason i like it as much if not a little bit better than the ios browser...and muchh better than windows phone 7... never tried android though..

will it delete all the pre loaded apps like the blackberry messenger and the bb app world

or will it just delete the info of it.

@countolaf32 that is true but now the new one of this phone and curve touch and all their new phone are stepping up big time with better resolution better touch screen and having a track pad and 1.2 ghz and 0s7. that makes bb almost or basically cought up. you cant really compare bb and iphone to android because these phones dont have all that stupid widget rap all over the screens

by the way, thank you so much for covering this phone, I have had used a blackberry bold 9700 for a while, about a half a year ago, now I'm using the iphone 4, and the whole reason why I got rid of the blackberry 9700 is because I wanted a higher res screen but I didn't want to lose battery but I did, my wish came true with the higher camera but everything else stayed as is with blackberry. Not only that my wish came true again because the last thing I want is a blackberry bold 9800

Hello from Venezuela i like your reviews, I have a powerfull Motorola Milestone, but i´m into temptation to get the BB 9780, So I would like to know your opinion, it would be a shame to change a powerfull Touchscreen 3.7 with querty keyboard to a little more simple smartphone but with great quality in his awesome keyboard and off course the plus of the pin to comunicate to the hole world? Please let me know what you think.. I just would miss the 3.7 touchscreen becouse the HD videos playin it.

I know where youre coming from. I started with an 8530 about a year ago, then changed to an HTC Hero, then recently changed to an HTC Droid Incredible (3.7inch) Its an awesome phone but I took it back because the outrageously high monthly bill on its carrier (Verizon) but I also realised I wanted something simpler, not a big media device, Im now back using a prepaid BB 8530 on Boost mobile. My monthly bill is so low! ($60) The device is perfect, I love it. BB's are awsome

Im a current Android user but previously had a BB8530...and liked it a lot.

Id be just like my old trusty 8530 with way better screen res and way higher specs. And its sexy!

Plus Id like to switch to GSM (Im with sprint now) But its hard to decide with so many great phones out there. I love the Droid 2 but its keyboard cant compare to this BB!

@GuppyGraves ya...like two...blackberry messenger and push email...that's it...but if you want to do other things like surf the web, watch movies, listen to music, play games and read books then you should probably steer clear of BB...my friend has had a BB for years because his job requires it...and for years he's watched me on my iphone...well he just got a Droid X for his personal phone cause he couldn't take it anymore...now he carries around both phones...sad that he has to carry them both
