@Muloc7253 because silver is and always has been witches and satanists metal, whereas gold is the pious and christian metal. the symbolism is that this persons light bright metal hides infinite darkness and secrets.

that is just my take though.

I think it's the inherent soulessness and fear associated with masks. It's like the 'Uncanny Valley' thing; it looks almost human, but it's not, and that's what's scary about it. The fact that you can't see the eyes probably just makes it even weirder.

star trek did it before i was born, then ogre from skinny puppy, a lot of times its been represented. i actually found this band because i had a short obsession with everything s.t.a.l.k.e.r. related. the only thing left for me is to find and download the actual movie, stalker. god i'd love to see it. oh, monolith is the name of an enemy
