You heard it here first folks! Hillary is going to declair as an independant. She knows that she can't win as an independant, but she also knows that she can't beat an incumbant Democrat in four years, and she thinks that America won't vote for a woman of the age she'll be in eight years. So what she hopes is that if she runs as an "Independant" Democrat (a la Joe Lieberman) she'll be able to pull enough votes away from Obama to cause him to loose. Then she can run against McCain in four years.
QuiglysMom: I dunno...Hillary has to know that if she were to run as an independent and spoil Obama's chances she'd become a pariah. The Democrats would never nominate her (or even come within ten feet of her) if she costs them the White House. That might be the quickest possible way to make herself completely hated.
iamthebyron: Unfortunately many of our countrymen have very short memories. If she tows the party line to the letter after the election and starts trumpeting that fact in two years, most people will once again think she's Mrs. Democrat, and the party powerhouses will want to reward her for being such a "good Democrat". Or at least that's how she'll think. I know how most politicians work and think because I have so many high-level Dems (national level) in my family.
She just pulled her last card by answering the vp question, she buys more media time for her because now the ball is in Obama´s side and the fact that hes is the nominee will be blurred by the new gossip, which is "will he ask her out", she could have said that anytime, but she said it the day Obama won, old politics again, she might bring votes, so Obama has to decide between a clean new government and honor his words or accept one old politician with votes in order to win the presidency.
I hate to say it but I think Obama is a marked man, now. I don't even like the guy and sure won't vote for him, but I don't want him to be killed either.
You might as well go to sleep with a rattlesnake under the covers. She will make the poor guy regret every single day of his presidency that she lost the nomination becos he won it.
Pitiful. Just pitiful. Let's say she says, "ask me, but I'll say no." And... she says yes? How can Obama get her off the ticket then? And with her freudian slip showing in regard to assasination via 3 previous comments by her, honestly, having her on the ticket is like a deathwish. Obama camp - Just say NO!
wow she really has no humility how can she make demands when she lost. so she is now the voice of old bitter white women (the cheesecake brigade)? .....i fully expect to see her on nomination day claiming she really won.
Obama/Sebelius '08. We need an upstanding woman in the white house, not a crooked one!

Why is McCain spending so much time in Louisiana?

They should offer the post to whoever would bring the campaign swing-voters and pull away some Republicans. Hillary does not do this.

Jealousy of picking another woman is really "deranged narcissism" as Jeffery Tobin said. See his comments at Huffington Post.
