  • I really enjoyed watching this video although I think it all a bit too complicated for me. Wow your girfriend/ wife must be a lucky lady if you can cook like this! Hey, I'd marry you if not for my existing husband and 2 kids, heeeheee. All he can muster is toast!

  • This is really different from what i used to make!! Seems to be really yummy!! May i suggest something, when you cook, whatever, if you are going to add mustard that should be the first thing to go into the oil and allow it to splatter, it releases sulphate or whatever and then you can add the rest. They say this way it adds to the taste, im not sure though about the taste but it does release sulphate or sulphur whatever, so do add mustard b4 adding others

  • What the hell are you saying? Did you type this in a 90s Nokia phone? It's all gibberish. Use all the keys in your keyboard. And learn 3rd grade English grammar before you type.

Anyway, where did you find that Hindi is India's national language? Don't just sit there and yap whatever you think is true. Do some research. Least you can do is go to Wikipedia.

Today's lesson: Hindi is not India's national language. India does not have one. Thanks to Tamils' protests in the 60s. Read. Learn.

  • Hindi is official language of India

  • @Diva470

Hey Diva, thanks for ur pity. Let me tell u something here..i am not any less patriotic and i Know Hindi very well and i am a poet in Hindi even though i am a tamilian. I speak Hindi at home as we are from defence background. But the reality is Hindi became a national langugage because 5 major states speak it and not becauue there is anything spl abt it. Ok...and one more thing..i have been raised in north and i have seen the discrimination so the hate message.

  • Yes its offensive...but being a national language doesnt mean its something great...ok...I do respect it...so what...Tamil is the oldest...along with sanskrit....You Hindi guys...how discriminative u r against us southies..so u deserve it.... i am happy

  • "Daal" is a bloody hindi word?? hw offensive...u call ur national language smething bloody??

  • testing

  • Tried this and it came out real good. Thanks!

Do you know how to make 'Mor Kolambu'?

  • well if you can't say hindi word....its your fault .Atleast don't call it bloody. You are calling your own national language as bloody so what you expect from international people.

Next time when you post something like this show some respect for your national language.

  • Everybody loves their mother toungue - in my case that is Malayalam. You learn that as a child. But to be successful in life we Indians also need English. Now that is an extra language we have to learn in addition to all the maths and science we need to learn to make a living.

  • ...continued from my previous comment...

Some Hindi people (not all) wants us to learn Hindi as well - why? because it is their mother toungue. The excuse is it is 'National' language. What is the use of learning Hindi? NOTHING. So why the f**ck do you want to impose that on us.

By the way I love my country - India. India is all about unity in diversity. We don't have to impose an additional language for us to be patriotic Indians.

  • My commeny on Hindi was meant to be a reply to dtmitta

  • Thanks so much for including the text! Really enjoy your videos.

  • hey...you really rock....the way you cook & your voice is simply awsome....even simple dishes seems to be mouthwatering by the way you cook...keep giving us more cooking videos...nice to know that you are also from chennai...

  • HI

    Suresh

    hru,i tried this recipe it was awsome..i m ur fan..love ur voice..can v b frends...i hav sent u frnd req in dailymotion...waitin 4 u 2 aceept...

  • wow eat it

  • hey wat was that in the other plate with ur curry?

  • Hey

loved ur cooking. it looks awesome. One feedback for u is to not use tamil when u speak and mix it with English. just follow English all the way, it will makes listening and understading every easy.

Also, it would be nice to have recap in text of ur receipe at the end of video..I know u put some comments on video in between, but nothing beats recap with ingrident listed with little summary :)

    keep doing the good job

  • No Karen, I don't make my own masala. It's a little too tedious unless you're going to use a lot of it (like, if you cook for at least 4 people every day). So it's easier for me to buy just it from an Indian store.

  • mouth freshner dappa is a cool idea for anjalapeti. I am going to look for it in a desi store near by.

  • I love your english. I love your tamil. You are sooooo cute.

  • Hi ---- kaara kulambu super athavida super unga voice

  • looks good

  • Good one. Just subscribed to your channel. It was good for a cooking newbies with essential explanation.

by the way, where did you get that Modern version of Anjalapetti?

  • Thanks, Mouly.

That petti is an improvisation. It's an empty mouth-refresheners dappa you get in desi stores (with sombu, seeraga mittai, etc - the ones they serve in saravana bhavan after you finish your meals).

  • thenunga, namma ooru murungakaya vudave mattengeela kolambu senchitu curry na eppdingoo. eppdiyoo nalla irunthuchungoo

  • vengayam use panni kaarama veikra kolambu'na English curry thaanga (mathadha ellam stew'nu sollikalam). English kaaran thappu, namma ennanga panna mudiyum? :p

  • That looks delicious. I wish YouTube had smell-a-vision!

  • haha I know. I hope we had that kind of technological development in my lifetime.

  • lol, yesterday after seeing your Curd rice video i wanted to ask you to make a video with a kathirikka recipe. :-)

    you are simply great!

  • aah that's a coincidence. I had a craving for tangy brinjal for some reason. So just cooked and felt like sharing with others immediately. It's a great dish - probably my best in vegetarian. Try it and let me know how it worked out.

    Thanks ;)
