Are there any points for takedowns in K-1 cuz ive been noticing that all the fighters are just pounding the shit out of each other and like barely any takedowns. And when they clinch, they either do a couple knees or spread their arms wide for the ref to come n pull them apart.
There is no take down in K1. It's a stand up combat. The rules of kneeing is very recently. You can only knee someone with one knee per counter attack, and can't clinche him & knee to the face. It's a stupid rule that game out since the Thai fighter (buakaw 2x champ see my page!) used it to beat the shit out of everyone with that thai technique. I know. K1 is so politics & bias. New rules happen every year.. Japanse loves to protect their fighters-weak ass fighters!
remember sato KOed buakaw with knees to the liver. that means he got beat by a weak ass japanese fighter with his own favourite move. thats ironic man.
his legs wasnt bleeding..it was hematoma...anyweiz..i think i know to beat masato...close the distance...dont give him space...ive been watching his fight...and i guess thats the riddle of his fight plan...just my opinion though..nice fight and great vid thanks
it was nice to see drago showing respect. and yeah, masato's performance was fantastic

takedowns are not allowed in K1 and its a specciality of K1 for the reff's to stop clinching very fast

id love to know what the trainers tell them between rounds

Masato outclassed Drago. Drago didn't even get to his rythm.. his frustration is what made him lose instead of keeping to his gameplan..

u can see the left leg of drago is bleeding and very injured

3:25 - wow. sharpest cut kick ever
Gago was real frusterated - you could hear him grunting on every kick. Great fight, though
