to be honest, I rather hate this song in FF9, I have always been alone, I trust no one, I do things alone, and if I was ever in a situation like that I would rather be alone than with anybody else, there is nobody I would trust. I will always be truly alone. No matter what. But this is an entertaining video though.
@DarkDeathSaurer I dont have anything against being alone/ strange/ or weird because i fit all of those categories myself it just want to share a few thing i have learned with you. One is that it is ok to trust people because the worst thing that can happen to you is you find out they are not trust worthy then you move on. it is considered to be strong if you have no fear of people hurting you. lastly forgiving every one who sin against you is therapeutic as well.
Simply put, the vocals don't take away from the song at all. I love it!! The vocals aren't that bad, you can tell it's just an unpolished voice, and that's perfectly fine. The lyrics go exactly with the scene from the game I think...I just love it.

Please don't be so harsh on DragonAvenger's vocals everyone....like she said, she recorded this in 2005! That's 5 whole years ago! Gosh if someone pulled up my old recordings from 2005...well I'd cringe if anyone heard them. Her recent recordings are absolutely fantastic. And as for this song, it's still a damn good vocal, and damn good lyrics. Plus it's the single thing that inspired me to start posting vocal remixes of my own, so I owe this amazing singer a lot!

She has a great voice to sing with, just needs to manage her singing differently. The syllables don't trail, they just come to a grinding halt. She needs to let them trail and chain with the next syllable.

nice. The recording could be better, and I'm a little disappointed that the lyrics don't rhyme (makes it harder to learn the lines), but I really like the message in the text, it fits the song and the scene (where the song plays in ff9) very well. 4 stars.

i've generally liked male singers more because women can really only sing high. In many rock songs the voices get higher at extremely intense parts....making the song even more emotional. But thats just me.
Yeah, the quality is really worse...so I want to say somethin about the singing, but I can't, cause I don't understand, even a quarter of the text, but in fact, it does sound a little, hmm...what word...uhm...well, like you hacked the singing in little pieces...well something like that. Doesn't suit my ears to well, though, even hurts a little. I mean physical pain. Your voicefrequencie is to high for me, I guess. But overall it doesn't sound to bad.
There's a lot of clipping between the vocals and the background track. Combine that with amateur singing, a low-quality microphone, and a high range, and you get something like this for a result.
It's interesting to see my improvement over the years, and how much more I still have to go. I should redo this one someday...
I like how people have given you thumbs down for your own self-criticism. I was ready to do the same when I saw the phrase "amateur singing".
I really like the singing. Granted, I'm nota a vocal critic, but it didn't strike me as amateurish. And the high range is in my mind the best aspect of the remix. Please, if you redo this, don't lower it.

Okay, it sounds good. But you need to work on your singing, it's not bad by all means. Something just sounds off about it. It sounds kinda choppy too, I know you're trying to go with the music, but it kinda sounds weird. Try playing with that more.

I was just learning how to play this song on my clarinet for a seating test (well the tour de japon version) and i wanted to hear the original version and i found this, i have got to say these lyrics are amazing and the singer is really good, i know how hard it is to hit those high notes and i am very impressed.
The girl sounds great! Singing that high is SUPER HARD and her voice reaches all the high notes perfectly. The only thing I find awkward about this song is the echoing of her voice near the end of the song, but nonetheless it is beautifully done. I don't know anyone personally that can sing like her. She is a wonderful singer.

i've generally liked male singers more because women can really only sing high. In many rock songs the voices get higher at extremely intense parts....making the song even more emotional. But thats just me.

Yeah, the quality is really worse...so I want to say somethin about the singing, but I can't, cause I don't understand, even a quarter of the text, but in fact, it does sound a little, hmm...what word...uhm...well, like you hacked the singing in little pieces...well something like that. Doesn't suit my ears to well, though, even hurts a little. I mean physical pain. Your voicefrequencie is to high for me, I guess. But overall it doesn't sound to bad.

There's a lot of clipping between the vocals and the background track. Combine that with amateur singing, a low-quality microphone, and a high range, and you get something like this for a result.
It's interesting to see my improvement over the years, and how much more I still have to go. I should redo this one someday...

I like how people have given you thumbs down for your own self-criticism. I was ready to do the same when I saw the phrase "amateur singing".
I really like the singing. Granted, I'm nota a vocal critic, but it didn't strike me as amateurish. And the high range is in my mind the best aspect of the remix. Please, if you redo this, don't lower it.
The mic is a bit of a problem though. You should definitely redo this, because apart from the sound quality issues, its an awesome remix.

Okay, it sounds good. But you need to work on your singing, it's not bad by all means. Something just sounds off about it. It sounds kinda choppy too, I know you're trying to go with the music, but it kinda sounds weird. Try playing with that more.

I think it's the mic that was used. When you listen on headphones, you can really hear how low quality it probably it was. Still, terrific job.

I was just learning how to play this song on my clarinet for a seating test (well the tour de japon version) and i wanted to hear the original version and i found this, i have got to say these lyrics are amazing and the singer is really good, i know how hard it is to hit those high notes and i am very impressed.

The girl sounds great! Singing that high is SUPER HARD and her voice reaches all the high notes perfectly. The only thing I find awkward about this song is the echoing of her voice near the end of the song, but nonetheless it is beautifully done. I don't know anyone personally that can sing like her. She is a wonderful singer.
