The problem is that in these rural communities the farmers are not doing enough to let the local communities know that these jobs are available and because they aren't advertising their jobs well enough the illegal cockroaches are coming and destroying our communities. Some of these schools in rural areas are now over 50% Mexican. Not only can the local teachers not handle it because they can't speak spanish and these anchor babies can't speak english but it harms our local kids being with them.

Wow, $100 a day! When I was a picker 30 years ago I worked 10-11 hours a day and never made more than $18.50 a day ($1.68/hr before taxes)!! Times certainly have changed. Farm work was the only work a 14 year old could legally get.

I think the system needs to be changed to somehow legalize the migrant farm-workers. We need them as much as they need us and if they're legal, they're taxable. No more La Migra chasing people across the farms...No more Los Gatos Canyon.

U legalize these farm workers, now they are citizens and can get better jobs, health care, welfare, now they wouldnt work for a farmer for pennies.
