  • Ha! 6000 plays..... I´m happy to see this count! Good luck dear friend!

  • excellent... I felt more of the meaning through your version that his original song. The lyric is quite incredible and you brought out more of why he felt the way he did.

  • this is really good! i love this song and your pitch is amazing!

  • again charlie.... listening to you gives me alot. i'm very glad that you are: inspiering, warm, alive, careing, "just there", understanding, great. your friend from germany, me

  • Oh gosh you have such an amazing voice!!!!!!!

  • I really appreciate and love to hear everyones input. I once played in a baseball game with Billy. In Pound Ridge NY. But unfortunately didn't get a chance to talk to him for long. anyway everyone has different oppinions as to what kind of person he really is, but his melodies are classical in rock songs and I find that and other things unique.

  • Baby bear

  • congratulations, this is awesome!

  • man, you damn sure get your five stars, and the big global hug, even though i'm not gay. your version made my evening. And: i really like your beard. a man without beard is not right dressed.

  • Beautiful!!

  • Chaz, This takes me back to our High School days. You on the stage singing Billy Joel songs It brought me so much joy, my friend. God Bless. You are still awesome! your friend and fan.

  • Brilliant not many people post old BIlly Joel sons on here!!!! I forgot how good it sounded!!! ;-)

  • Great job on one of my all-time favorite billy joel songs...wonder if you know the story behind both this album and this song?

  • lay it on me

  • check messages

  • me wants to know too :)

  • Some of the lyrics in this song were quotes from billy joel's suicide note, he tried to kill himself by drinking furniture polish, he said latter that " it looked better than bleach", he did this because of his depression at the time due to not selling records

  • its a good thing he did not pick the bleach that would of killed him

  • @charliejazz64 After his release from the mental institution, Billy said he realized how stupid he'd been. So he pushed forward with his career, and was signed by Arnie Ripp's "Family Productions" label the next year. When writing songs for the album, he remembered his suicide note and adapted it into lyrics for this song.

  • Well to be fair you are performing a Billy Joel song and it's very difficult to even come close to matching his vocals.
