This is the third way I've seen to cut plastic bags for crochet....this is the best one so far.....it makes one LONG piece instead of short pieces. How do you fasten them togeather ?
And whats the point exactly, it would make more sense to dispose of it for recycling what are you going to do with this horific string of plastic, throw it out thew window so that irt can hang from the brances of trees, and dirty the environment. this is nuts what ever it is someone has more time on their hands than they should have it seems.what the devil is crotcheting sounds a bit Amsetrdam red light area too me lol.
@vecinoslacalavilla The fact that you don't know what crocheting is, is exactly why you don't understand why she is doing this. SHE is recycling the plastic by crocheting it into a bag.
Crochet is when you take a hook and make a series of knots in (usually) yarn and it becomes a structure
@vecinoslacalavilla Just the fact that you took the time to rave about this being nuts shows you have more time on your hands. You should have takin the time to look up wha crocheting really is! Whats funny is you dont know what crocheting is but you know what the Red Light district is hahaha
I just start rolling a ball like you would do with a string. When I'm crocheting I leave a couple inches when coming to an end of a strip, then I put the next strip over the remaining and just keep going. You are using a double strip for just a few single crochets. When I'm finished making the item, I go along and cut the little tails off that are remaining. I hope this makes since.
oh that's just great!!! I just started doing crochet with plastic bags last night but I had them cut in loops and chained them together - this will make it so much easier to crochet (especially for a beginner like me!)
thanks a lot! this was really helpful. I've looked on lots of sites for these directions, but I'm such a visual learner that just pictures weren't working for me. Thanks again!
great video

I wonder, could you do this with t-shirts cutting off the sleeves and following the same procedure?

Thank you for posting this. I've taught this method to so many people and it's great to have a resource to give to people.
....and to all those who don't understand why we're doing this....well, you'll never understand.
