My womens choir for my high school is singing this in a festival at OSU and David N. Childs is going to be there it's kinda stressful haha:) But this was awesome!! sounded amazing!!
I thought you guys did good i just think u should have worked on the dynamics a little more. it seemed like u sometimes forgot ur D's and T's. My school took this song to contest and we got superior =]...bt overall good job for you guys!!
My Senior year of HS my director did a combined womens choir. We took it to state contest and got a 1. Very beautiful good job with the intonation really well done.
They did a wonderful job! Of course I heard pitch problems, but them I forgot that this song had the clashes is it. Man I miss doing this song. I helped to sing in a freshman choir one year and I never really heard it done well. This is beautiful!
It stinks you never got to hear it performed well, you know? It's something the audience doesn't think about. The people up on stage sing all that beautiful music but never get to really enjoy it because they're doing all the hard work. Thanks for this comment too! I'll pass it along to Brittany!

We were just talking about you the other day actually because you made that awesome bulletin board for Brittany, and my Mom copied it because we just redecorated my little sister's room. Brittany still has it hanging over her bed. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, do you have anymore that I don't have posted?
It's possible you sang a version without it or I can't here it. It's pretty low, so if it is there, the voices might not have been strong enough, that tends to happen. I just wondered cause that's the part I sing.
It's a great song to listen to as well! The pianist in this performance was relatively new so there were some issues with the timing and tempo according to Brittany. From the audience's view, however, it wasn't too notice-able but listening to it back, it is kind of obvious. But anyways, Thanks for the comment! Have a nice day!

this is good, but i think this piece is meant for a bigger sound. The mens choir i am in does it and it has more of dynamic sound to it which i believe is better.
did you post that comment on every version on youtube? brat this song is so empowering and intense while mainting a certain sweetness that no mens choir can match, a mixed choir would be best but they kicked patootie and so did my school choir

btw, david child's, the man who wrote this, came and worked with my school's choir on all of our songs plus this one for the girls about a month ago. he just contacted my choir director(they know each other well) and said that he is going to write a song for our choir to sing at uil next year!

My freshmen women's choir is singing this. i'm so excited because this is such a beautiful song! especially when it is song well.
this choir did very well! this is actually a very difficult song we've come realize as we've started this piece.
my only thing is i felt the tempo may have been a little to fast, but thats only because i've heard it played a tinch slower.
still, very beautiful job out of you girls!

There are some blending issues in this. Some voices are too powerful and stick out. But other than that, not too shabby.
