The cuts you support (61 Billion) represent only 4% of this year's projected deficit. Essentially they do NOTHING to balance the budget, so at least be honest about that.
Also, the proposed 61 Billion in cuts are blatantly political. Cuts in Head Start program, the EPA, NPR, PBS, etc. Even cuts to the Internal Revenue Service. You talk about first steps. Why not go after big corporations (Bank of America, ExxonMobile) that paid no taxes last year? But of course, they fund your election.
It works like this, only the workers are subjected to market forces and must be disciplined because reckless Wall Street is not. The socialists (taxpayers) bail out the rich time and time again, but no you can't have any Healthcare, we lost all your pension funds, but the taxpayers have to bail them out. And remember GE does not pay any tax. Keep voting for the Tea Party.
If the politicians don't respond to public and change course in these "solutions" they are imposing on us (deepening the crisis their policies have caused) then the problem is the politicians, get them out until they go with smaller government, low taxes, and hands off real freedom, none of this "government/bureaucrat/czarist/appointed boards redistributed rights" bs.
I went to high School with Jim Jordan. He was always a straight shooter and a good guy and one HELL of a wrestler!

One of the few that stills gives a damn on the hill. Wish there were more like him.
Sooooo tired of this amending (should be called appending) of bills into other bills for the sake of expediency and deal making. One bill, one issue!
Hope to see this guy stay in 2012... at least he can sit in front of a camera and keep it simple and truthful.
