  • It's a frog fish (a particular kind of anglerfish). The always do that.

  • @nossdt

Oh yeah I forgot.. God created every species on the planet individually and theres no such thing as evolution. Slips my mind all the time.

  • @mingblack totally agree

  • That is so crazy how they have legs :O

  • I WANT A FROGFISH NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MANCANO2 as long as you have acces to live prey for them they are great to watch in an aquarium

  • @1Spinman1 You can get them to get sliverslides and other dead fish also krill and basically anything just get some very long tweezers that are clear but ive used just plain ones and it might take time but the will take it.

  • @PWNINGGOLDFISH - great feedback Goldie - I never had the patience for doing the dead food stuff and I had a creek just down the road to catch good bait fish but good info for anyone else looking at these babies

  • @1Spinman1 Thanks and It'll take time just like trying to get lionfish to take it or other predatory fish :)

  • that doesnt look legal hahaha

  • Do you still have this fish

  • @2pkdk2 haven't got her anymore as we released her back where she came from but it was fun while we had her

  • it's evolution baby!!!

  • at one point in our evolution we looked something like this...

  • @mingblack can't say I see any resemblance Ming :)

  • eccelente ejemplar ;DF

  • very nice fish.

was it black when you bought it though?

i really don't want my new black angler to turn brown lol.

    angler fish = frogfish

they are called frog fish due to the elbows on the side fins that allow them to walk.

    however...

    toadfish = toadfish

they don't walk...they are VERY lazy. stay in one place all the time quite boring. and do not have elbows on any fins. more resemble a fish than any frog or toad.

....hope that help clear up a few misconceptions...

  • Cheers RandomDub

Yes princess was very dark at first but the tank has a light sandy bottom and she changed colour over time. She has a giraffe spots type pattern/colour now. Certainly looks nothing like she first did. I have read thought they can and do change colour fairly regularly.

  • thats a toad fish

  • Weird

  • looks cool
