I think that Violet got the best of the three characters who were permanently changed (Agustus, Mike, Violet). Agustus seems to be made of chocolate, and if you weren't eaten by yourself or other animals you'd melt in the summer. Mike will have to spend a fortune on clothes. I wouldn't minde being blue, and I'd love to be super flexible like that.

Same thing with the spoiled rich girl; she only fell into the garbage disposal; the grime and gunk will be gone after several dozen hot baths. But the other two are doomed for life. Violet's hair may eventually turn blonde again, but she'll never regrow those lost bones. And the other kid may fatten up someday, but he'll never be shorter than 10 feet.
